Timing Control Board / Logic Board

When the T-CON or logic board fails, the screen images may become distorted, leading to pixilation and the appearance of lines on a television. On a logic board, there are slotted connectors on all four sides, while T-CON boards have connectors on just two sides.

My super nintendo system turns on but then freezes in the middle of the game. I have tried all my games so I'm thinking its not the games but the console Any thoughts?

Please try cleaning both the console and games with a cleaning kit. It might not be a bad idea to blow the dust out of the inside of the unit either as it might be overheating, especially if it's caked with dust and dander.

Colored, pixilated bars appear during playback

It is very common when the magnetic heads got dirty. Buy a Mini DV cleaning tape, follow the instruction clean the heads by playing the cleaning tape for a while. Record NEW video and playback to test.
Please know if you play the old video recorded buy the dirty heads, you may not get clear picture, because here is not correct data recorded on the tape.

Computer lockup

Could be heat related. Have you cleaned any dust out of the fans and heatsink? Try blowing canned air (gently) troughout the inside of the case, especially around the CPU and video card. You can also try re-seating the video card and the RAM modules.
Good luck with this!

Unlock codes for Video Explosion Deluxe

To work with MPEG-2 files, you must do a separate, one-time online registration. Video Explosion will automatically prompt you to register the first time you add or create an MPEG-2 file in Video Explosion. They will send you the unlock keys. Since the company no longer supports it, I guess nothing can be done. I got my keys awhile back and enjoyed doing videos for events. I am running Vista now which cannot take Video Explosion Deluxe so I'm screwed as well.
