There is no network.
The gateway is a primary connection point and firewall between networks. For instance your wireless router at home is the default IP on the router. Example 192.168.1.1 and your ISP modem is usually the xx.xx.xx.1 address. You can test with or without the home router by typing ipconfig /all at the cmd prompt. You may have to reset the hardware or escalate to the Internet Service Provider if the outage is not local to you.

My 2007 eslalade will start but turn right around and try to start it again and everything is dead give it a few seconds and then it will crank right up what would be my problem

Hard to say with all the electronics on that vehicle . Checking the basic's would be the place to start , battery , cables , connection's ,checking for DTC's - diagnostic trouble codes in all the computers on the vehicle . The last part ,you would need a professional type scan tool to do that . Not autozone or advance etc.. their code reader can't check BCM - body control modules , or I/C - instrument cluster etc... Knowing how the electronic's work on your vehicle may sway you from wanting to mess with it .
When the ignition switch is placed in the Start position, a discrete 12-volt signal is supplied to the body control module (BCM) notifying it that the ignition is in the Start position. The BCM then sends a message to the engine control module (ECM) notifying it that CRANK has been requested. The ECM verifies that the transmission is in Park or Neutral. If it is, the ECM then supplies 12 volts to the control circuit of the STRTR relay. When this occurs, battery positive voltage is supplied through the switch side of the STRTR relay to terminal S of the starter solenoid.

The BCM sends a message to the ECM over the high speed GMLAN serial data network .
The communication among control modules is performed through the high speed GMLAN serial data circuits and the low speed GMLAN serial data circuit. The modules that need real time communication are attached to the High Speed GMLAN network. The body control module (BCM) is the gateway between the high and low speed networks. Refer to Body Control System Description and Operation for more information about the gateway.
Signal supervision is the process of determining whether an expected signal is being received or not. Some messages are sent on a periodic basis and are interpreted as a heartbeat of a device. If such a signal is lost, the signal supervision part of the software will set a no communication DTC (U. code) against the missing device. This code is mapped on the Tech 2 screen as a code against the physical device. A lost communication DTC typically is set in modules other than the module with a communication failure.

2007 Impala 3.9 died while driving, will not spin over,or come out of park. Also gear indicator will not show what gear you are in. No codes.

Will not spin over ? When you turn the key to start ,the starter doesn't engage an spin the engine ? Dash light's come , headlamps come on bright ? Battery good , charged ? No codes ? just engine ,OBD 2 codes ? BCM codes ? How or what did you use to check codes ? code reader , scan tool ? A professional type that can read BCM - body control module codes ? Do you have any idea how complex the electronic's are on this vehicle ? Do you know what happen's when you turn the key to start ?

Power Mode Master
This vehicle body control module (BCM) functions as the power mode master (PMM). The ignition switch is a low current switch with multiple discrete ignition switch signals to the PMM for determination the power mode that will be sent over the serial data circuits to the other modules that need this information, and so the PMM will activate relays and other direct outputs of the PMM as needed. Refer to Power Mode Description and Operation for a complete description of power mode functions.

The body control system consists of the body control module (BCM), communications, and various input and outputs. Some inputs, outputs and messages require other modules to interact with the BCM. The BCM also has discrete input and output terminals to control the vehicle's body functions. Battery positive voltage is provided to the BCM from the BCM fuse in the underhood fuse block. The module has two grounds at G 202 as well as one directly to the vehicle battery. The BCM is wired to the GMLAN High speed serial data buss and the GMLAN Low speed serial data buss and acts as a gateway between them. If the BCM does not communicate the vehicle will not start due to the inability of the engine/powertrain control module (ECM/PCM) and vehicle theft deterrent (VTD) control module to communicate without the BCM providing the gateway function.

Gateway
The body control module (BCM) in this vehicle functions as a gateway or translator. The purpose of the gateway is to translate serial data messages between the GMLAN high speed buss and the GMLAN low speed buss for communication between the various modules. The gateway will interact with each network according to that network's transmission protocol.
One example of this necessary communication is the communication between the engine/powertrain control module (ECM/PCM) which is high speed serial data and vehicle theft deterrent (VTD) control module which is low speed serial data. If these modules can not exchange information, the vehicle will not start.
All communication between the BCM and a scan tool is on the High speed GMLAN serial data circuits. A lost communication DTC typically is set in modules other than the module with a communication failure.
If you don't know of any of this ,your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop.

I have a 2008 chevy impala ss and the service staibiltrac is on and when I speed up my car shakes and when I slow down it shakes... What can be the problem...

You need to take the vehicle an have a diagnostic scan of the control modules done . With the service staibiltrac on the system is disabled , an any number of thing's can cause system to shut down . With these systems the computer can change engine timing , RPM , valve timing etc.... All the modules on your vehicle share information , communicate on a serial data network .
The communication among control modules is performed through the High speed GMLAN serial data circuits and the Low speed GMLAN serial data circuit. The modules that need real time communication are attached to the High speed GMLAN network. The body control module (BCM) is the gateway between the high and low speed networks. Communication is necessary between the high and low speed serial data modules for the vehicle to start. Refer to Body Control System Description and Operation for more information about the gateway.

When thing's like the problem your having need to be diagnosed by a qualified repair facility . This is nothing for a DIYER to mess with .

Where is the Body Control Module located?

I'm just curious if your aware of the BCM function's on your vehicle an if you know what the gate way module is ? An do you know about serial data communication between modules ? An do you know what the power mode master is ? And do you know the BCM needs programming ?
The body control module (BCM) in this vehicle functions as a gateway or translator. The purpose of the gateway is to translate serial data messages between the GMLAN high speed buss and the GMLAN low speed buss for communication between the various modules. The gateway will interact with each network according to that network's transmission protocol.

If these modules can not exchange information, the vehicle will not start.
Communication between the BCM and a scan tool can be on the high speed GMLAN network or low speed GMLAN network. If one network is lost, the BCM can still communicate with the scan tool. A lost communication DTC typically is set in modules other than the module with a communication failure.

The CE code is showing on screen

Communication error

If communication between the ignition board and the display board is not established

within 3 s of power-up an error will be displayed. After communication is

established, if it is lost for 30 s, the error will be displayed. The error code will
be cleared upon a valid data exchange between boards.

I have a CE error code on my Hayward Pool heater. This happened after a heavy rain. Should I try a hairdryer?

According to a Hayward manual the CE error code is a communication error. Here is quote, "If communication between the ignition board and the display board is not established
within 3 s of power-up an error will be displayed. After communication is
established, if it is lost for 30 s, the error will be displayed. The error code will
be cleared upon a valid data exchange between boards."

I don't think you can do any harm by turning the power off, opening the cover and drying everything out the best you can. In addition, if you carefully unplug and then replug each of the connectors then that may also help correct a communication error.

I hope this helps and please vote on this answer. Thank you.

My Gateway MD2419U laptop will not charge after it reaches 87%. It says "0% remaining" when unplugged and "0% available (plugged in, not charging)" when plugged in. Why does this...

Its an issue with the BIOS code.
Updating the BIOS will fix the issue.
Update it to Version 9A30a for Windows 7 and Version 9A10h for Windows Vista.
You can find the BIOS update on the Gateway website.
