Boards in back light LEDs I think ones called VIF board has two LEDs they come on. Board behind the VIF should be DIF board which has cables that go to X/Y boards two LEDs on left light blinks right light stays on. Still no picture and no sound. The PDP does not fire. The TV was working had brown out TV would not trun back on it was on power surge. Have not checked Voltages yet have meter to do so Have Oscope also don't schmatics.

You may have a weak power supply. This would indicate one or two capacitors that are weak or bad. This model may be about 4 years now and this is a good indicator as these capacitors need replacing. The other problem may be the infared board in the TV that receives the signal from the remote may be a problem as well. I would certainly investigate my first thought. The latter is kind of rare. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support.
Unfortunately the answer isn't a simple one on that set. Just about every board in that set can have a problem that causes it to shut down. The cheaper way out this will be a trip to the shop as opposed to you buying all the boards from a distributor and doing it yourself. A small, local shop will charge you a FAIR price and do it right for you. Plus, most distributors DO NOT WARRANT parts if you are not a professional technician.
Ask friends where they have had work done or call the local chamber of commerce. They can point you in the right direction as well. Avoid the great big places. More than a few techs means more overhead and higher prices.
power supply board - check the fuses first --- remove all cords and power cord -- wait one day then connect -- if this doesnt work -- you probably need a new power supply board without looking at it - can order online at partstore.com
with solid blue led set could be still powering on but would need to verify by checking power supply voltages. if up and signal is present with no menu or audio would be ssb as audio amplifier, micro processor and eeprom are on that board. if voltages are not present you need to offload x and y sustain boards one at a time from power supply and check voltages and if vs comes up with either board disconnected replace that board
