Question about Keyboards & Mice

1 Answer

My ''P'' key types a ''g'' when struck, and the ''X'' key doesn't...

I own a Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 and the ''X'' key doesn't respond when triggered, and the ''P'' key types a lower case ''g'' when stroked.

I have updated the driver for my Vista 64 bit Operating System through Microsoft Windows online support and that didn't correct my issue. I am using the On-Screen Keyboard in Windows just to type in this field.

Any solutions?

Ummm...? If my keyboard has expired then why would the "P" (any case), key trigger the "g" (lower case) character?

Every other feature works flawlessly. Is this a Microsoft 64 bit Vista issue?

I downloaded the Vista 64 driver and it seems to have vanished. Odd isn't it?

I now have a Rosewill multi-media keyboard my brother gave me. Works as a good replacement. He got it free from www.newegg.com after he purchased a Rosewill KVM Switch.

Hi there !

The best way to clean or repair your keyboard is by removing all the screws at the back of the keyboard. And you can clean that chip board and all the buttons as well.

i can give you a sensible suggestion; on a little piece of paper write out the name of the alphabet on it and stick it on the right key on your keyboard, till you finish assigning a key for the faded keys. Good luck

My Keyboard won't type on Word program.

It seems like your trying to type into a locked document, which means that your keyboard is working, its not the issue, the issue is the spesific file which is locked, try another document / file or turn off the lock from office settings if you can find it.

I don't think they sell keys, take one from another keyboard or replace the keyboard.
