Question about Kensington Memory Cards & USB Flash Drives
Click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question / exclamation mark? ! or a red X you will need to update/reinstall drivers right click to reinstall drivers if you can see your usb drive but its not working ports (com&lpt) right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems to a computer and its parts you might have restore it to its defaults Right click on usb drive select properties you will have an array of options Select the hardware option then select your drive properties policies restore defaults In XP Right click on your drive select properties then on customize restore Default in W 7 Click start control panel scroll to folder options view place a tick in show hidden files folders and drives
this may vary depending on your operating system

my 4gb pendrive is not detecting in my win xp operating system,before 2,3days i repaired my operating system,after that it is not detecting..pls help me

pen drives generally have 3 to 5 years warranty, if your pen drives are not detectng on other systems also, its better to replace it

whan i fix my usb in computer and try to open it ,the message appear "please insert a disk into drive d".
what is it? how could be solved this problem? help me

probably you removed the pen without properly stopping the device.
usb pens are sensitive about this. you must use an icon that is on traybar to stop usb storage devices before removing them.
now it is probably in read only mode or damaged.
if it is still inside warranty try to replace it.

go to disk management again and delete that drive letter wihich you add.
then check .
If still face problem then go to my computer property then hardware then device manager then unistall all usb drivers then restart computewr then connect scandisk to computer.
