I-tunes update deleted both my cd/rom drives on Dell Deminsion 8400 with XP Pro. Restore function reinstalled, but took away I-tunes update. Took two days to figure this out and apple was no help. Thinking of junking I-pod and sticking to my Memorex mp3 player.

www.dynamite.com might still sell what you want :> Just kiddding! Try a complete wiping of the hard-drive unless you are doing an upgrade, you will lose all data on the drive. If that doesn't work, you might not be running enough ram memory for 7 to run cleanly on you machiine, go ahead and upgrade. Hope this helps!
After you have downloaded the file "install.img" from lge.com,connect it to your TV,go to Settings, then System Upgrade, press OK to show the sub items of System Upgrade, choose "Cancel" to abort the operation and choose "Upgrade" to upgrade the system firmware. Afterward, the system will reboot and the firmware upgrade page begin to show. After firmware upgrade completed, the system will reboot and show the language selection page.
Did you upgrade coincidentally the PC upgrade or the Mac upgrade check that out to make sure? Remove the IPod or the device before starting your computer again then plug in the device. It may also be upgrading and you did not complete the upgrade. Could this be possible if so re-download I Tunes again completely be sure to remove I Tunes first then go and download I Tunes again. This may solve the matter. I hope this gave you some relief John
iiTunes.exe has been set to run in compatibility mode for an older
version of Windows. For best result, turn off compatibility mode of
iTunes before you open it.
> 1. Make sure iTunes isn't running.
2. Click Start, type regedit, then press Enter.
3. Navigate to this Registry location:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers
4; Its better you clean/repair Windows registry with RegInOut.
4. Look in the main pane for a key that refers to iTunes. If you find one, delete it, then exit the Registry.
5. Start iTunes. The offending message should be gone!

It took me a long *** time to fix my wing, but this is the only way i found. shout out to my homie muhammed for showing me:
hold both left and right toggle button simultaneously, and use stick to press the reset button. continue to hold buttons....
it will reformat. press send to wipe the phone.
then, use active sync to completely wipe the micro sd memory card once wipe is complete
this will delete the static charge virus
lastly, go to tmobile website and download the rom software upgrade.
reconnect the wing to your pc
charge the phone past 50%
click on the new software upgrade icon and follow instructions.
the screen will show 3 lines, green red and blue with the new upgrade version numbers.
once complete, you have completely upgraded the tmobile wing to the fullest extent
if this does not work, then sadly enough.... your problem is from
dropping your phone too many times and causing the components to become
loose connections. aka the sliding keyboard.
i also noticed that the only thing stopping the keyboard from stopping
is a tiny square piece of plastic. but then again, this phone was
crafted in china. chinese plastic isn't the most sturdy composite
