Question about HP Officejet 6100 Eprinter - H611a 1 Year Warranty
I have added this printer to our network gave it an ipaddress but the wrong default gateway i cannot connect to the printer now and i need to be able to correct the default gateway. a factory reset or cold reset to the device would resolve this anyone know how to?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I have seen some reports of this problem, but I don't know of a definite 'cure", Seems like you've tried the obvious stuff already. My question would be, are you using PCL 5e, or PCL6 driver? The PCL 5e is the most compatible driver, and I know I have had a few strange things happen on different models using the PCL 6. It could just be a glitch in the driver, but I'd try the 5e just the same....that's my 2 cents worth.
For simplicity, you can download it here:

Im not the expert here ... still I would like to comment.
I think your printer should be 192.168. something . something. where the first something is the same as your compluter and the second something is a couple digits higher than your computer.
May I suggest you give Network Magic (a Cisco product) a try. You can work, on your printer through this program though they dont claim to support stand-a-lone printers yet. Download the free evaluation copy and give it a try. Alternatively, you could reattach your printer to a computer and share it with the network
Let me know if trhis works for you

please do not assign dynamic IP on the network printer. give a static IP on it base on your network config. and also, please do assign all you computers on the network with static IP's so that every time they boot there will be no IP conflict or problem on the network connection.

I had the same problem with this printer. I tried cold resets and flashing the firmware on the printer and still came up with an IP of 0.0.0.0 and the printer still set to manual. Here's what worked for me.
When flashing the firmware the first time, I only had the usb connection from the computer to the printer. After a few other attempts, I tried flashing with the usb cable connected AND the network cable connected from the printer to the wall port. After this the configuration page gave me DHCP and a brand new IP Address.
Here is a working link to the firmware for Windows.
So just simply have the network cable connected while flashing the firmware on the printer, hope this helps.
