Question about HP LaserJet color laser printer

1 Answer

Computer crashed yesterday, so rerouted HP4700n printer to a different computer and now a message comes up on the printer when we are printing a job. We have to manually press continue for every piece of stock that goes through the printer, instead of putting a stack of stock in the manual feed tray and letting it print 100 automatically, we have to now push the arrow button, to continue after every sheet. Never had to do that. Our old computer was an XP and this new computer is Vista. Does that make any difference?

Computer goes into Hybernate Mode after each print Job.

Try plugging the printer power cable into a different power outlet, preferably an outlet that is not shared. I had a similar problem but in my case, the computer would crash. For some reason, the HL-5250DN demands so much electricity on starting a job that it doesn't play nice with the other equipment.
