Question about Uniden Cordless Phone
GE Model 25951 Series (5.8 GHz Cordless Hanset Speakerphone Answering System)
The phone was working perfectly fine till yesterday. The phone is with one cordless handset and base with answering machine. The problem is that whenever I push the "talk" button to get the dial tone on the cordless handset, it shows the message "unavailable" on the screen & there is no dial tone. I used the troubleshooting tip in the user manual to re-register the cordless handset with the base, but it does not work. By the way, the cordless handset's battery was replaced with a new one, a month ago & it has never been dropped as well.
I called the company's service no. but had to wait for a long time, hence disconnected.
Please give me some advice? Thanks in advance.
Another tip is to remove the battery from the handset for at least 5 seconds. You might want to get a voltage meter and check the voltage on that new battery - maybe it isn't charging properly.
