You may download a copy of the manual at
Flash instructions begin on page 2-9. The self-timer instructions are on page 2-7. The self-timer is fixed at ten seconds.

SOURCE: Hello, I bought a Canon DC210

have you tried another media player on the computer to run the disk like VLC, or a DIVX player, or the player that came with the CD of the camera when you initally purchased it. it can be a codec issue with the WMP.

about the Finalization, it is a step the recorder will ask before you remove the dvd right?

SOURCE: hi, Do you know where

if you go to and click on the "Help Center" tab (5th from the left) you will get a page with "Solve Product Issues" on the right hand side, the third bullet point is "Software, Driver & Firmware Downloads". Click on it, it should contain everything you are looking for.

SOURCE: dc210 finalize disk

I'm not sure if you'd already tried this...but I hope this helps.

The camcorder can only finalize a disc if it is powered by the AC power adapter....according to p.61 of the users manual, the (finalize) operation cannot be started if the camcorder is powered only with the battery pack.

Hey, I owned this camera since... Christmas and Ive had the same problem, I decided to look into it and I found something that helped Its called iSofter VOB Converter, and I just have the demo, and it seems to be working fine, Mind you I just got the program like 2 minutes ago... but I used Sony Vegas 8 to rip em at first, but you still couldnt edit them, but iSofter works on Windows Movie Maker, and probably other programs too... Dvdrw will not format in camera

I use Memorex and Sony Mini DVD-RW in my DC210 and both work fine.

To BUGFUZZ - the DC210 does not support DVD+RW - you must use either DVD-RW or DVD-R.
