I am getting an F30 flashing on my washer. Why

Please check the full model number of the washer. Kenmore appliances are built by other manufacturers and the fault code will depend on that manufacturer.

However, the F30 code is most likely for a Kenmore washer built by Whirlpool. If this is the case, the code means a problem with the detergent dispenser. The dispenser is controlled by lever that needs to move between two points as the gears go through the cycle. Sometimes the lever gets bent out of position or the control wires (or other items) get into the gears and blocks the motion. Sometimes, you can hear a clicking sound as the dispenser tries to engage. If you take off the top of the washer and then run a wash cycle, you can observe this action. Check what may be blocking the dispenser and adjust things so that everything moves freely. If that fails to solve the problem, replace the dispenser.

If the washer is under warranty, contact Kenmore. Most Kenmore appliance parts are available from Sears Parts Direct . However, you will need the full model number. (The model number has a 3 digit prefix that indicates the manufacturer. The last 8 digits are the product model. There will be a period after the first three digits. Most front load washers will have the model number inside the door on the frame.)

If you post a comment with the complete model number, I'll be glad to offer additional help and the exact parts diagram for your washer.

We moved into a new house that has a Whirlpool Duvet washer and dryer. I was wondering what year they are. Model # for the washer is WFW9300VU02 and the serial number is CSW4003338

The date of manufacture is determined by the SERIAL NUMBER on the appliance. The following link explains how to determine the age of your Whirlpool appliance:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3576437-determining_the_age_of_your_whirlpool_ap

The SECOND DIGIT in the serial number represents the YEAR the appliance was manufactured. The first two numbers following that digit, represent the WEEK (52 weeks in a year) the appliance was manufactured. So, based on the serial number you have listed, the WASHER was manufactured in October of 2005.

These appliances are commonly sold as a set, so you may find the dryer was manufactured around the same time. If you need assistance determing the age of the dryer, please post back with the SERIAL NUMBER and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Help...my one yr. old pushed buttons and brought up the menu...my four yr. old thought the way to get that off the screen was to turn the tv off and back on. well, he turned it off, but it won't come back...

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers for spare part supplies as required.

Just Google the manufacturer's name and follow the links. Make certain you are directed to the manufacturer's web site as some search engines direct you to other sites and they charge for the information that is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

I'm trying to find out how old my mothers wash machine is. The model numbers in 2270

The date of manufacture is determined by the SERIAL NUMBER on the appliance. Since Kenmore washers are manufactured by Whirlpool, the following link explains how to determine how old your washer is:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3576437-determining_the_age_of_your_whirlpool_ap

The serial number will be listed on a nameplate along with the model number along the wash tub rim under the lid. The second DIGIT in the serial number identifies the YEAR it was manufactured. The first set of NUMBERS following that digit represent the WEEK it was manufactured (52 weeks in a year).

If you need help determining the date, please post back with your serial number so I can assist you. I hope you find this information helpful.

Need APPROXIMATE water consumption on 10 yr old Whirlpool washer

Hello. The older top load washers use up to 60 gallons of water per load. That said, also check your toilets as a leaking toilet can use tens of thousands of gallons per year. Here is a link that explains how to check your toilets and other items for leaks. Regards, Joe

How to disasemble model 11020722

Can you provide the exact Make, Model and Kenmore model number? ..........

Kenmore model numbers use the format ###.######## with the first three digits of 110 for Whirlpool manufactured machines.........

The model number on top load washers is usually found by lifting the lid and looking above the tub.

The Fixya numbers are Stock Numbers. Actual Model Numbers are necessary to correctly diagnose the problem.

Can you describe exactly what you want to disasemble??

What year was the 110.28812790 washer made?

The dates of manufacture are determined by the SERIAL numbers on the appliance. The following links explain:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r2880489-determining_age_whirlpool_appliance

Your Kenmore is manufactured by Whirlpool. The first two numbers in the serial number identify the WEEK it was manufactured. The digit preceeding the first set of numbers, identfy the YEAR.

http://www.fixya.com/support/r2880528-determining_age_maytag_appliance

On Maytag models, the last two letters in the serial number determine the date of manufacture. The first letter is the YEAR, the second letter is the MONTH.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Whirlpool washer age

Your washer was manufactured in March of 1993. The manufacture date is determined by the Serial Number. The second letter "C" represents the YEAR of manufacture. The first two numbers "14" represent the WEEK it was manufactured. The 14th week puts the manufacturing in late March. I hope this helps you.
