Question about D-Link DWA-542 (ASKU50237) Wireless Adapter
I just bought the DWA 542 Wireless N Adapter. I've installed it, and it's picking the up the signal from my router. It starts to connect but then says that it is "acquiring network address." What do I do to get the damn thing connected to my router?
There can be only 3 reasons why it is not connecting
1) there is security enabled >> in which case u have to enter same security code in computer
2) Mac filter feature is enabled on the router >> in this case you need to disable that feature
3) it is not getting enough signal strength check for interference like cordless phones or microwave owens next to your router
message me if you hav any further doubts
