Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
We have a Staples SPL-QW120D. It constantly says "OVERLOAD". It helps if we turn off the shredder and back on, but it will go back into "OVERLOAD" within 30 seconds. The bin is empty and from what we can tell, there is nothing stuck in the blades. Is there a way to reset the machine or is something causing this problem?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

SOURCE: Staples SPL-1506X Shredder Issue
I had the same problem. I have a solution but I do not recommend this unless you have technical experience with repairing electrical appliances. I took the back cover of the main shredder unit to expose the wiring (there are 7 screws in total). The bin full sensor has a blue, green, and red connected to it. I clipped the blue wire to defeat the Bin Full error. You can look through the plastic window to check that the bin is full.
