SOURCE: I have an Element FLX
Check the two caps (10uF 450Vdc) by the inverter transformers, also check fuse F2.
Worst case will be shorted out ballast caps in the LCD panel assembly.

This is usually and most likely caused by the power inverter/board. There are capacitors and other components that can burn out and will cause the power not to be transfered correctly

I know my way around electrons and I plan to tear my set down and replace ALL the capacitors with known, good capacitors. I bet that'll do the trick as this set ran nearly 24/7 for almost two years.
