Could be a number of possible issues. A sudden loss of freon, a faulty pressure switch or relay, and so on.
Someone would need to find out if the compressor has power and then proceed from there.

Could be a couple of things, backlighting, inverter, a tiny switch that controls on/off of the monitor, when you open and close the laptop lid, it may get stuck or damaged, usually found near the monitor hinges. There's a hole in the left side of the player, the reset button for the player is in there, find something to poke in it, paperclips work nicely, and push it.
