Question about AmcorAire UCHW-H12AF2 Split System Air Conditioner

Cools for a limited time only before unit must be reset

The unit I bought was set up just a week ago and after my a/c guy fixed all the error messages that were coming up the unit still doesn't work properly.

The A/C will seem to be operating normally until anywhere between 4-6 hours later the unit while still sensing that it needs to cool the room only blows air at the same temp. as the room.

This is easily fixed by turning the unit on and then off again but this certainly won't work for me as I'm using the unit to cool a server room and as such is left unattended for long periods of time...

If the unit was set up a week ago the technician should warranty his work and come back and take care of the problem for you, not knowing what was set up and how, it's hard to say if it's a problem with the unit or the control (t'stat or programming if it's a programmable t'stat).

If this unit was new one and setting was done accurately,It sem that the ac is tripping off due to several factors in case of tripping off the compressor there is a hi pressure that building up on hi side that could not expand normally on expansion valve, there's clogging of some impurities or substance such as air in the system, this will develop a high current to your compressor exceeding to the rated current of unit, resulting to trip off the ac.You can check this on taking the operating current while the unit while is running using clamp ammeter the current will register and compared this to rated current that specified in the compressor manual or the compressor casing it was tag there.Or check again the set up sequence at the remote control the variation of thermostat setting.

Gibson Furnace KG6RC-060C-12A Model

Somewhere on the unit there is a small chart that identifies the problem that the lights are indicating. That helps narrow down a long list of possibilities. However, if you catch it acting up you can check that limit switch like this:
with your voltmeter set to voltage test from one side of the switch to the other. If the limit is "open" due to an overheat problem your meter will read 240 or 24 volts depending. If the limit is closed/working it will read 0 volts. The unit must be running for this test. The problem is there is a small window of opportunity before it cools off and closes. Whatever you do, DO MOT BYPASS THE LIMIT!

I had a unit installed 14 months ago. So far so good but just noticed an error code (33-limit fault). Is this something I can fix?

33-limit fault means high pressure in discharge side. May be your condenser coil is full of dust. clean it.

I have a new kenmore ac unit model 580.75101500 i bought about two weeks ago and installed last week. its been blowing ice cold as it should no problems until today. Now the ac turns on runs about 5...

Take it back or call Sears. A 2 week old unit should not do that. I'll assume the settings are right like set on AC Auto or Max cool and not just fan. Are the coils icing or were they icing behind the filter? If not, I think it may need to be serviced.

Hello, I've got a Daewoo 5200btu window a/c that I

sounds like a direct short. Changing the plug and circuit protection may not eliminate the problem, but it would let you know for sure. I would not change that plug without ground fault interruption.

Everstar portable AC not cooling, what do I do?

Same thing happened a few weeks ago. My wife said " its not cooling". I read the manual and it says., Clean filters ...we did and hello. works fine. She was so frustrated she was going to take it back. These filters accummulate dust fast. So check there first. Hope this helps.

I would lkike to know where to get replacement filters or an extension exhaust duct.

Get a diagnostic fee only, then determine if you can fix it yourself or not. Generaly you should only pay around 65. Depends on your service tech, call around. meBNme is on to something check your filters, if the unit is suffering from any air restrictions, it could be going off on high pressure. You could also be overcharged and or overcharged (from a leak).
