Lost power to my redcat 220 ac/dc welder

You say you lost power to the welder. Did you check the circuit breaker where the power comes from in the breaker panel?
It will be a 2 pole breaker. If you mean the welder quit, then you will have to unplug it from 220 volt and open it up where the wire goes into the welder and see if the fuses are blown, if they are replace with the same type of fuses and try to weld again. If they blow again then you have a bigger problem and you should have a welding person take a look at it.

My Dewalt chopsaw is about 10 years old, and quit working. So I Took the brushes out and put them back in. It worked for a day, then it would hesitate, then it died. I tried new generic brushes, but the new...

If you can get your hands on a continuity tester, do a continuity check from the plug through the flex ,the switch, armature and back to the plug .It should be possible by a process of elimination to discover where the break is in the circuit.
It might be simply that there is a break in the cable where it exits the mains plug or where it enters the chop saw

Was welding and welder quit acking wire feed and gas still work i have a century pro wire welder model 170gs

Check earth wire has not become dislodged,
Pop the cover and check for burnt terminals, often overheating of the transformer can cook a terminal, easily cleaned up and replaced.

Hi i have an old army vw powered 15kva genset that doesnt have any spark anymore it died just before we converted from crank start to electric start. it winds over but no spark at all. can this be...

Are you sure it is a vw engine? Most gens that size were powered by a 20hp Hercules or Continental 4A084 engine. Looks like a Vdub but isn't. It should have a magneto which will be either fairbanks morse or a slick. If you are not getting any spark then first thing is check your ground wire. This grounds out the magneto and switches it off. IT can also be the stator contact or spring inside the cap. Those get corroded if it has sat for a bit.

Our lincoln stick welder started throwing breakers, then just quit. the fan won't even come on

Unplug the unit. Remove the back. Take the input wires off the transformer. Using a DMM check for resistance. It should be more than zero around 2 to 5 ohms. Remove the output and do the same thing. If either winding is at zero ohms your transformer is bad and I would suspect it would cost more to replace than a new unit. If you need more help let me know.

Thanks for using FixYa and the generous rating.

if motor and feeder roller is turning. check that their is the correct pressure on feeder roller for the wire thickness you are using and that it is in the right groove on those rollers.
also check the tip it may have splash buildup which is affecting the wire feed.

I don't get enough current to welder electrodes. only half of the power for my receptacles unless the motor is run at high speed. my controller board has signs evident of overheating around some components...

The fact that you can burn a rod when you bypass the governor on engine tells me that your generator must be getting week. Needing new brushes perhaps?

Hobart handler 135 drive motor quit while welding. VDC output to the motor is less than 1/2 volt measured during troubleshooting. It seems that the control is bad, but it could be the motor.

If there is less than 1/2 volt to the motor with the motor disconnected, either the controller is bad or one of the inputs is. Check all of the inputs to the controller (switches, speed control dials, etc.) before you condemn the controller. Switches on mad self-fed welders are common culprits, as are the wires that lead to the controller from the switches.
