I unplugged the refrigerator for 15 minutes and now plugged it back in. I won't know if it worked until the morning unless you have a way to tell me how I can tell if it worked now?.

To start, unplugging for fifteen minutes won't work, you have to do a complete defrost before calling a technician, therefore be prepared to move the ice creams and the frozen food (or to eat them).

Once you have completed a full deftrost cycle you need to have a technician testing the freezer defrost thermostat and eventually replacing it.

If you are on emergency you can call the number listed on the owner manual, but a technician won't come before 5 or 6 hours minimum, if not tomorrow, then you will have to defrost the fridge the same.

Hi!

Please turn on the power saving mode of your refrigerator, which will turn off the defrost heaters. Also see if the condenser fan motor is working.

Please tell me if your fridge is making any clicking noise when you start it? Can you hear a loud squeaking noise aswell?

Thanks
Rylee

Unless you tell us what the unit is doing and not doing you might as well just go out and pound some salt!

Fridge stopped working suddenly

Sounds like the relay (start device) on the compressor has failed.  This is a very common problem especially for models that are 3-5 yrs old.  I would replace that first.
