My little brother and friend want to play wii mario kart wii together. They are in the nintendo WFC and have both connected, but can't figure out how to actually PLAY a game, help?

You need to install the Mario Kart Channel.

When you are in the Mario Kart Wii game, go to the "Select License" screen.

Click on the "Settings" icon in the top right corner.

Select "Mario Kart Channel.

your friend will need to tell you their 12 digit friend code. They can find it by going to the Mario Kart Wii Channel Select License screen.

Chose their profile.

Select "Friends".

Their 12-digit friend code will be displayed near the bottom of the scree

from the Mario Kart Wii Channel Select License screen, chose your player profile.

Select Nintendo WFC - either 1 or 2 player.

Select "Friends"

Select "Register a Friend."

My friend and I both registered our numbers for Mario Kart but when it tries to connect us we get an error and it says the connection has failed. I don't know what to do to make it work.

One of you must first create a room, then the other uses "find a friend" to join you in that room. Once you are connected in the room you can send messages to each other. When ready, the room creator clicks on the "Close" button and a menu of game choices opens up. After selecting the game, you will both go through the screens to select your characters and vehicles. You get to vote on the course and you are then off to the races.

To create a room, go to the Nintendo WFC choice on the Mario Kart game main menu (the screen after you select your licence). I have not found a way to create a room by going directly through the Mario Kart Channel, so you need to enter through the game itself. Select one or two players in the Nintendo WFC box (depending how many players will be racing on your end). Your remote friend does the same on his/her end. You choose "Friends" on the next screen and then "Create a Room". You then wait for your friend to join you. Have fun ... David

Mario Kart not saving trophies to player license.

At the begging did you pick an empty slot to save all data? Go look at the wii's memory if it has space.

Well, I don't use the Wii wheel. I played with the gba and Game Cube controller. So I recommend to try using the nunchuk in your races. Play Wii play to test your wii remote's pointing and twisting ability's

We had the same issue this morning. you have to upgrade the Wii system menu. Look in the front page of the Super Mario Bros instruction bulletin and it tells you to do this. You have to be connected to the internet through your Wii though to do this, but our is now working. The download takes a few minutes but all is good. Hope this helps.

Just select the System Update option in Wii System Settings - just make sure your Wii is connected to the internet.

Will console can not read mario kart

Clean the game with cd cleaner, if that don't work it sounds like the game is scratched in key spots to not allow you to get any further. May have to buy a new game.
