My car died on a cold winter night but I jumped it successfully. However the radio would barely turn on afterwards. The display lights up but doesn't show any digits and the volume knob doesn't work but you can barely hear the radio and can change stations. Never had any problems with it before. I replaced the radio fuse and the fuse in the yellow holder but still doesn't work. I also tried to check for a radio code but it seems that the display is supposed to light up and say i need a code. Can any body help out?

It is the fuse inside that yellow fuse holder on the lower left side that is bad. Not the one that says audio that is the problem you can not see the fuse but it is in that yellow holder.

Hello, Chose another powersource for your device. It is possible that you are tied into a circuit breaker that is constantly resettting. Maybe use an MP3 player for the trip and work on it when you get back.

Had this before and i found a fault on the fuse board ,no supply the printed circuit maybe as i didnt go any further i just looped it from another fuse that had power via ignition switch through the radio fuse and it all worked but the fuse for the radio wasnt the one i looped as that had power for the memory it was another one that done the interior light and a thin bit of telephone wire done the trick so check all the fuses for power ,pull them out and check with a little 12v screwdriver light thing from the chinese shop ,right star trek is about to start goodnight

did you use a aftermarket wire harness made for your vehicle? If you did then there is a wire marked 12v constant that wire will be yellow that is what you are missing hopefully you did not cut the factory plug off of the vehicle. the aftermarket harness plugs into the factory harness
