Computer monitor text overlaps/overwrites and can't be read
On some sites (this one included) the text overlaps existing text and can't be read. Sometimes selectable options can't be selected because they are covered by other graphics or text...perhaps they are placed in the wrong place on the page. Things may be pushed too much together. It is a wide screen monitor with plenty of room on the margins (though sometimes the problem is vertical text as well). It's probably a problem on about 15% of the pages I view. I've updated drivers and tried all kinds of settings. Nothing seems to affect it. Any ideas?

From what you are describing it sounds like a video driver issue. Have you made changes to your video driver or video settings prior to this happening? Have you tried a different monitor to see if it is doing the same? Check for updated Display Drivers for your system.
This is not a monitor problem in almost all probability. It is either the website itself (they did not test it adequately for all operating systems and browsers...and if you are using something old or non-standard this could explain it...but more than likely you may be missing some (what I will call) interpretive software. Java would be an example or have some out of date software. Without knowing what Operating system or browser you are using I can only suggest making sure they are both update to the latest (compatible) version.
