The floats are more than likely stuck closed or the float inlet needle seat and jet are coroaded and clogged, remove the float bowl and float needle and seat , then clean thoroughly an replace!

Won't start can't even get it to fire got spark getting gas ,don't know.

Check the compression! It has to be around 120 and no less then 100 to fire off. If it is ok, Have your carb checked out. It should fire off with some spray.

Gas burner with hot jello spill spark won't turn off

Sounds like the sensor telling it that the burner is on is shorted out with the jello. turn off the power so you don't get shocked and then give the entire assembly a good cleaning.

Nubira isnt firing and plugs are soaked with gas why?

I don't think it would be a fuel problem since you have fuel at the plugs. I would take the plug out and connect the plug wire to it. Hold the end of the plug against a solid ground and have someone crank the engine(insulate your hand if you are holding it). If you see good spark in the spark plug gap, that will rule out spark issues. Do it for each plug. If you don't have a spark, which I suspect will be the case, it will be an electronic ignition/distributor/wire problem.

I have a poulon pro 42cc saw that wont start. dont think its getting gas cuz i tried to flood it with the primer but no gas on the spark plug.

The primer will not flood it, all the primer does on these saws is pushes fuel through the carb. If this is a new saw, it needs a carb adjustment, a very common problem on poulan products these days. It's covered by the warranty at any of their service dealers (you can locate one on poulan's website).
How old is the gas you are using? If the mixture is more than 30 days old, make a new mix and try again.
Check for spark. Pull the boot off of the plug. Hold the boot near something metal and pull the starter. If you see a spark, you are good. If you don't, you may have a problem with the coil.

Car won't start new battery spark plugs check gas tank

Sounds like you have replaced a number of different parts all dealing with different aspects of how a car can run. The first thing I would do before replacing anything else is to find out the source of the problem. Like are you getting fuel yo the injectors? do you have good fuel pressure? Are you getting spark to the spark plugs? stuff like that to narrow down the problem. You need 2 main things for an engine to run, Gas and GOOD spark. You also need airflow but an engine will kind of run if that is limited. I would like to help you so you don't buy anymore parts you don't need. I am an ASE certified master technician and I own a repair shop in Florida. Feel free to email me at Let me know the make, model & year of your vehicle, what you have done so far and why you decided to do those things. Also is it turning over (spinning) when you try to start it? What you have checked yourself as far as fuel or spark. I say this because you went from spark plugs to battery to gas tank which are all different aspects of the engine starting or running so i think if we could narrow it down a bit with some test to start to diagnose it, then i bet we could get you going. I have helped a lot of people this way and enjoy helping. I don't charge for it so there would be no cost. So I look forward to hearing from you and please be detailed as to any questions or answers so I can help better. Wish I could say just do this and it would be fixed but need to work on what the problem is first and then go from there.

I have a Hotpoint gas range that has electric ignition for the oven. However, I don't have electric at my cabin. Is there a conversion kit for a straight pilot ignition available? The model number is...

Most gas ranges with electronic ignition aren't equipped to have a straight pilot ignition.
I'm don't even think they make conversion kit because of the routing of the gas tubing for the pilot source.

Usually you have to turn the gas knob way over to get the "click-click-click" of the igniter.
Its just as easy to turn on the gas and light with a match...or a long butane lighter.
Even a "striker" used in welding will provide a source of ignition.
A last ditch effort would be to get a replacement gas grill igniter...all ya gotta do is place the bottom of igniter on metal surface and press red button. (kinda works like a spark plug) and no A/C needed.

Hope this helps some.

I have compression, gas and air to the combustion chamber, just no spark why won't it start?

If you don't have spark then that is your problem. First try changing the spark plugs and wires. If that doesn't fix it then it is the ignition system. Let me know if the first two don't fix it.

Just changed sparks plugs, and wires because i had bad gas and not getting the rpms when i hit the throttle

I don't know much about those bikes because I don't own one, start taking pictures of whatever you take apart like I use to, WHY?, because then if you don't remember how it was mounted you can go back to the pic, it works for me. I try not to think that I know everything, it may cost me. Who told you to change the wires? You should had check the resistance on the old ones first, don't assume, that also will cost you. was it backfiring? cutting off when you had he bad gas? dying on U? I like to learn so keep me posted. Thank you and good luck.

if you are sure there is no spark and you have replaced the coil, then the only other thing it could be is your spark control works off your computer to tell your plugs when to fire..somettimes they go out only when they heat up and will start working again after they cool down,,but sometime they don"t give you any warning and just stop working all together.. would say you have a bad Spark Control is pretty easy to fix, just make sure you use or buy the right tools to take it off , ask at the Auto parts store to get the right tool, and the right part..
