I cant draw it for you but the spring fits inside the seat and the seat goes in the hole last. in the hole goes the spring then the seat goes on top then the stem.put the seat on a small screw driver, then the spring then slide it all into hole, try it good luck.

Faucet does not completely shut off when properly aligned

This problem exists when the seats get wore a and there is no resistance to shut water off. Replace the seats and springs to correct this problem. Shut water off and remove handle with a allen wrench and retaining collar to expose the valve body to gain access. Once apart remove seats and springs and reassemble and problem should go away.

hi, just had a quick look and the part you would have to source would be :78125 spline adapter. this is shown here...... the taps are washerless ceramic valves and pretty good quality, are they still covered under warranty as i would imagine that part is not cheap.

My Delta Faucet Leaks

Check that we were looking at same parts diagram, but I would say RP-70 Ball assy., as well as RP-4993 Seats & springs . If it's only dripping, just seats and spring will usually get you by, but if they are sending parts, free of charge, or ball assy., isn't too expensive, I'd change it too. I have had some luck with removing ball assy, cleaning it well with fine steel wool, then removing seals, and springs, stretching spring slightly, to add more pressure to seal, clean seal, then dab on a little vaseline to seals, and re-assemble.

I have a Delta shower faucet model number 1324 and my shower head is leaking How do I get the faucet part apart I have a diagram, but actually looking at the insides it all looks like one piece I don't...

Hi Shannon:

The problem is most likely the seats and springs. You should purchase Delta Part # RP4993. I found some for mine at Lowe's for around $4.00. O-rings are available there too for about $2.00, and you probably should go ahead and replace them as well, especially if they feel dry and brittle.

You have to remove the handle, then unscrew the brass ring (or bonnet) with a pipe wrench, then just pull the cartridge straight out. Separate the lower cartridge from the upper by twisting a quarter turn to the left. Once separated, remove the black rubber seats and springs and install the new.

Dripping faucet

Take a cloth and lay over the top of the stem so as not to damage it. With pliers, grasp the top of the stem and turn it a quarter turn counter clockwise. The stem should lift right out.
