SOURCE: my mark 812 water softener just lets the water run

Culligans are famous for having rubber gaskets and selenoid valves getting stuck. The rubber seats are rotted by hard water and there is no way for the unit to seal itself off from flowing water to the drain. The whole valve needs to be rebuilt

SOURCE: how do you replace moter

The problem with Culligan is that most of their parts are very priority and hard to find anywhere but through Culligan. If you go to their web site they do not provide instructions for working on them yourself. I sure that motor is available out there and if you feel comfortable taking it apart a replacement motor may be available through an aftermarket source the problem is the part may or may not have part numbers on it other than Culligan numbers.

I wish I had better news on this but Culligan is really secretive.

My delta 400 shower is dripping

Take off the shower head and check the rubber washer inside. If it is cracked, off center, or missing, you will have a leak. Also, make sure you are using plumbers tape (teflon tape) around the male threads on the shower pipe that comes out from the wall. Sometimes the pipe leaks at the point where the pipe and showerhead are fastened together, but it looks like the shower head itself is dripping because water always flows downward so it goes over the showerhead at the top and drips off the side.

Looking to replace my bath faucet and shower head. Have turned off the water supply in my basement but over an hour later I still have water dripping out of the tap. Wondering what the problem is and how...

Water pipes throughout yoru house need to be drained, this is assuming that the water is actually turned fully off. Also, turn off the hot water tank, as sometimes that keeps expanding and pushing water. Open faucets in the basement and on the top floor to facilitate draining.

Moen single-handle kitchen faucet only drips on the hot side. Removed cartridge and cleaned out some foreign particles. Replaced and still drips on hot side, not cold side?

have to replace the cartridge..hot water softens rubber and causes it to leak first...check the left side port on valve to make sure no burrs or bites in metal eating away at cartridge seal...

I have a lot of limescale that comes out through the hose in clumps how can i stop this?

for that much limescale the only solution will need to be a whole house water softener. After it is installed you will still have residue in the pipes. But for a temporary solution: turn off the water supply to the hot water tank both in and out of it. Then drain the tank. This should flush out some of the debris.

Remove the shower head and flush the plumbing by opening both valves fully. When you did the heater work, you dislodged some scale . Now it's in the shut off valve. It's no big deal as long as you hsaven't forced anything to stop it. Good Luck_Ned_

My mark 812 water softener just lets the water run out into the drain cant stop it unless I shut the water off

sometimes the heads go bad on those and they get stuck in a regeneration cycle that just flushes the tank out. put it on bypass or call your softner maker and alot of times they will help you diagnose it and send you replacement parts. also some of the softner heads use small electric motors that get siezed as well

The drain float seems to be stuck. Move it up and down , sometimes this helps loosen it to allow it to close.

Culligan gold series 9'' water softener has a constant error code

It has been my experience that when you have made several attempts to correct the error codes as directed in the owners manual, you most likely have a defective controller.
You should contact Cuno and locate a service representative near you to see about getting the controller replaced.
