Cannot see the message i typed in yahoo messenger 9 and other versions?

You may not have Internet Explorer as your default browser but it is coded with Yahoo Messenger
For this reason you must keep it up to date and the support software as well. You do not have to set it as default but you need to keep itclean.

1) Visit this page and select your product version (Messenger version) using the drop box

3) Browse the section for your problem and your OS and click on the link

Click "Tools"
Click "Internet Options."

Scroll down to "Script ActiveX.controls marked safe for scripting"- enable
Scroll down to "Scripting - Active scripting" - enable
Scroll down to "Scripting of Java applets" - enable
Click OK
Click OK
Restart IE Source(s):

After updating check you do not have old versions of Flashplayer, Shockwaveplayer and Java running alongside the latest - this can cause conflicts
Start / control panel / programs
delete any old versions

This is not your yahoo id problem..this problem in going on in yahoo...but you can uninstall your yahoo messenger...then again installs it...it will improve...may be you have change the setting....

You need to change your font color...because your font color is white...you are not able to see it...

I had the same problem.
Luckyly I found an easy solution.

Close yahoo messenger
STEP -1
go to Start Button - Run - type regsvr32 jscript.dll - then press OK
STEP-2
go to Start Button - Run - type regsvr32 vbscript.dll - then press OK

After that everything worked smoothly.

This error is most likely from yahoo. Their system has been acting up recently. Try using their messenger for the web instead. www.messenger.yahoo.com/web

make sure you have the latest version, if you do then you will have to uninstall and reinstall messenger

When you send or receive an instant message and no message appears, you probably have scripting disabled in your Internet Explorer.

To enable scripting:

1. Click the "Tools" menu on your Internet Explorer toolbar and select "Internet Options."
2. Click the "Security" tab.
