If your battery charging stuck at 80%, then you can change the battery charging options to allow the battery to be fully charged (I setup 80% on my Sony laptop; it is recommended).

Battery charging 80 extender

If you want solution for the problem that your battery is not being charged above 80%, then here's a solution.
Samsung Laptops have a feature to extend the battery life by stoping your battery charging after 80%. If you want a full charge, check the following two steps:-
1. Disable the Samsung Software "Battery Life Extender"
2. Enter the BIOS by keep pressing F2 button just after turning on your system. In BIOS, you will find an option Battery Life Extender(or something), disable it.

after following these steps you are done.

Why my samsung laptop n150 plus is only charging 80% still i put on charge after 80%?it only show green light after 80% which means that laptop not going to charge after 80%...WHY?

If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

My sensr480 note book battery 100% not charging only 80% charging please give me solution it.

Samsung laptops have this program called Battery Life Extender where this would allow you to choose your charging to 100% or 80%. 80% charging as the program says will lessen the ageing of your battery thus extending the overall battery life specially when your using youre laptop connected to AC more often.
I would guess that you might have activated that program if youre only charging at 80%. Have a look at it at youre programs and reply back.

My aspire 5740 showes 81% available but not charging, checked all power lines etc on balanced power. Bought laptop 3 weeks ago till today it charged up

Hi

Dont be panic. Your laptop has absolutely no problem.Your manufacturer had set a 80-20 policy for the laptop battery charging such that the battery wont be charged to 100 percent but it will charged only upto 80 percent. The makers of the lap are doing this because to give good life to the battery. You can change it by going into the power options inside control panel.

Need to know what the lights mean on a makita dc24sa charger

• When the battery cartridge is inserted, the charging light color will change from green to red and charging will begin.
The charging light will remain lit steadily during charging.
• One red charging light indicates charged condition in 0 – 80% and two red ones indicates 80 – 100%.
• With finish of charge, the charging lights will change from two red ones to two green ones.
• The charging time is as follows:
Battery B9017A, BH1220, BH1420, BH9020A: approx. 20 minutes.
Battery B2417, BH1233, BH1433, BH2420, BH9033A: approx. 30 minutes.

SONY VAIO BATTERY CHARGING

This is not a problem, this is a designed function to increase battery life. To adjust this, go to "vaio control centre", and then power management. Inside this is battery care, here you can adjust the settings or de-activate this function.
