Question about Brother Sewing Machines
My sister was trying to put knew red thread on the sewing machine and she didn't know how to do it so she kept pressing the buttons and now when I turn it on the screen doesn't show anything but a code saying F-3 and starts beeping what is happening? and it starts

The top of the machine is not threaded correctly. First raise the presserfot then rethread the machine. Bottom looping is usually caused by a lack of top tension. There could allso be a bur on the hook.

The safety device will activate if the machine has a bind or is unable to run at correct speed. If you turn the handwheel is it tight/hard to turn? if it is than thats it. Now what is binding the machine has to be diagnosed.

On mine this means the button for reverse is stuck. Just wiggle the button a bit and it will pop out again. It can get pushed in at a slight angle and catch a bit, but nothing is broken... I don't know if this is the only thing F2 means, but it is one thing!
