Question about JVC AV-32D305 32" TV
I go this tv from some old lady who said she had bought a new tv and didnt need this one anymore but whenever you have the tv on and you tap it on the side or top, the picture goes haywire. I figured it was just a bad or old fuse, can that be it?
These unit are notorious for bad solder joints in the tuner unit. If you unplug the tv and remove the large PC board, flip ot over and you will see a large silver oblong with 3 solder points. de-solder theses and removed the cover from the tuner. Re-solder the connections along each of the sides of the oblong shaped case.and you will also see some ground pins which also need re-soldering.
put the cover back on and you should be good to go.
As always, exercise caution , Televisions can hold a charge on some of the capacitors for quite a time and can shock you even after it has been unplugged for a few mins
