My blackberry pearl fell in the sink while i was washing my hands.. i took it out immediatly but i guess that wasnt good enough cause now i press certain buttons and they do something diffrent then what they should or just dont work or along with the scroll ball doesnt click i would replace it but ive only had it for 20 days seems like a waste to pay the insurance 90 dollars for a new one

You MUST let it dry out throughly before you try using it again. You run the risk of shorting something out permanently. Some say open it up and lay it on a cookie sheet at 200 degrees for an hour or so. Others say put it in a tub of rice to let the rice pull the moisture out. I found success by just taking everything out (battery, sim) and/or apart (covers, back) that I could and letting it dry out for a few days by my heater vent. Whatever you do, DON'T put it in the dryer or on top of the toaster as some have suggested. That will definitely damage it more, lol.

This does work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but you have to put it in the rice as soon as...

Take it out of the water and remove the battery. Then put the battery in dry rice and cover it overnight. The rice sucks out all the water and you should be ready to go. It worked for me.

Blackberry pearl

I should be under insurance coverage through your provider and they can replace it. However they may charge a deductible. I would take it to a store ran by your provider and see what they can do to help you.
