Question about Microwave Ovens
The Microwave Runs But Does Not Heat Anything I have a Kitchenaid microwave/ convection oven combo Model KEMS308sss000. The microwave top unit runs but does not heat anything. The bottom oven works just fine as well as the convection part of the microwave. Can you tell me what might possible be wrong with the microwave? Also what is the warranty on the unit and the parts? Also, can you suggest parts that we should replace to see if we can get it to work? Thank you! Rena

I'm guessing the model number would be KEMS308GSS0.
In some cases, this is a glitch that can be cured by unplugging it for 1 minutes, then resetting the clock.
In other case, it may be a bad keypad (membrane switch) or control board.
Please feel free to contact me directly if you need more help.
We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Likely takes a torx wrench or some other special star tool to open it.
Could be a bad relay a bad mag tube or a bad timmer or a bad door switch. Needs to be trouble shooted. You have to get it open and check the fuses and test the voltage on the pri transformer first.

thats a tipical microwave problem they just pop off like a light bulb, it could be turminal or it could be a fuse, what ever it is dont try to fix it yourself there are over 1000 volts kicking about inside the thing and 1000 volts will kill you out right, call a guy in to fix it, look at it this way,, whats your life worth in £???
