Question about Televison & Video
I have a Bauhn 1TB HDD PVR with dual HD tuners (model # APVR-1000MI), which I previously used with a CRT T.V. (No problems). I recently purchased a new AWA 22" FULL HD LED LCD Television (model # MHDV2262-04), and have connected the two with: HDMI Cable TV - PVR Aerial - PVR The PVR appears to be operating as I can see the channels change and functions change on its display panel...(hasn't been rescanned recently and still has old channels and old recorded programs stored too). The TV is operating fine, but will not allow me to use the PVR...I cannot access the PVR menu, or any of its functions. Its as if they are working independent of each other. How do I get my TV to allow my PVR to work through it? The TV manual talks about having to "Format external USB devices", but this is NOT a USB device...? (If I format it I lose all stored data) The TV manual states (pg. 19, section 9) PVR Function - from OPTION MENU - enter into the PVR File System and choose "check PVR File System", click "OK", and wait until "checking" changes into "Success"... When I did this it said "FAIL"...but again, I believe they are talking about a USB Devices not a PVR. Can anyone assist at all as I do not believe this to be a warranty issue but an operation/compatability problem where my tv won't allow my PVR to work. How do I rescan my PVR when I can't see it operating on screen? I am seriously not a tech-head either...help please! Thanks in advance.

The jack you describes here "Digital Ouput Device To" means, you can connect these jacks to the output of a digital device, such as DVD or so. It is meant for to get signal into the TV, not ot out.
HDMI [High Definition Multimedia Interface] is a type of connection, which the TV an be connected to any HDMI device from outside. Both the above said are, signal in to TV connections. Not out.
If you want to connect this TV to any amp or any other external audio devices; look for any audio out option is there.
