I have a jvc kd-r45 it will not recall any pre set radio stations after it is switched off and demo mode kicks in every time i start it up. Tried reset any ideas?

I don't think you have the memory keep alive wire attached to a constant 12V+ source. This is why it is not keeping set stations and reverting back to demo more every time it is switched on. Usually the memory keep alive wire is yellow.

I have a JVC deck and only way to accept the setting is to hit the volume button to accept the setting, if I don't it won't keep the setting.

I hook up a jvc kd-s16 and it will not keep the memory of the stations can you help

The yellow wire is the constant 12+V.
It has to be hooked up to a constant battery source.
If you did not install an aftermarket wiring harness consult
http://www.installdr.com/QuickWiring.html to find the constant 12+V wire color code in your dash.
If you unhook your battery, you can splice into the cigarette lighter hot wire to keep the constant memory of stations and clock time.

WHAT CAUSE A JVC TV TO KEEP SCANNING STATIONS ,STATIONS KEEPS ON RUNNING

It's the memory IC's damaged, you should replace it with new ones.
To locate this thing, open the case, then find the second biggest IC's on the board, near that IC, there's a tiny/ small IC with 8 feet( 4 left, 4 on the right).
Replace with the same and new ones

Don't know how to change the time or set stations

Okay, this is an easy one. Here is the link to the owner's manual.

copy and paste the above link in your browser and you can save a .pdf file version of the owners manual.

JVC KD AVX1 car stereo will not tune in to any radio stations, just keeps searching for them, can hear de tuned stations badly. All connections are ok. Any suggestions? Thanks

standard problem would be antenna issue. Make positive that the connection in the rear of the unit has a connection. If it does, take it out, slip a single, small wire in the back of the smaller hole [typically 1 ft long]. Although this results in an impedance ,ismatch, it will allow you to see if the antenna is at fault. With the wire in the hole, scan through the channels. Fixed? Antenna issues. Not fixed? You have an electronic circuitry or setup problem. Try the 'local' and 'mono' switch with the real antenna still connected. Still no reception?

This becomes an electronic issue at this point which stems at the following concerns:
impedance circuitry [usually small, diode at output]
PLL IC faulty or no V
