How do you connect tape deck to pmp 4000

Hi, use the RCA/Phono connections for the Tape In & Out. The level will be set by the Master/Main fader. If that is not so convenient (& assuming it's a PMP4000?) there should be a "Main 2" output & connections with the level controlled separately to Main 1 via a Knob / Rotary control over to the right above the "Mono" fader... Hope that helps... Good Luck!

How do i turn off the dsp and run stereo mode?

Pressing the PROCESS button opens up the various screens that determine the signal path setup and that control processing parameters for the DSP modules: I/O, PEQ, XOVER, DEQ, DELAY, and LIMIT.
I/O
The I/O module sets up the signal routing inside the DSP from input to output. Press and rotate the SELECT encoder knob to choose between dual mono, stereo, bi-amped, or bridged routing options.
STEREO
STEREO mode routes the signal from both the A and B inputs through a single series of DSP modules. The parallel DSP modules process the A and B signals with identical, linked settings (only module "A" parameter settings appear on subsequent DSP module screens).

How can I hook up my ipod to the Mackie 1604-VLZ PRO? I'm not sure which control buttons, knobs or slides to use to to make it play. I plugged it into the "tape in (RCA)" jacks. I need help with the...

Easiest is to use a 1/8 inch stereo to 1/4 inch splitter cable (1/4 mono's) and plug into the tape input. Then use the tape level knob.

IF you want to use sliders, then plug the spliter 1/4 inch plugs into two channels and set the PAN controls for these to opposite ends and then you have to adjust two sliders to control the gain.

AKG Perception Microphone ony recording in mono but want stereo.

I have similar problems with inputing stereo sound. How do you know your mic port on the PC is set for stereo? What kind of a cable are you using? If it is an XLR, the connection is pure mono. Maybe you need a TRS cable, which looks like a 1/4 inch jack but is really stereo. Maybe you need a stereo mini. Usually a cable mismatch is the problem. Is your phantom power supply passing stereo? All the ones I have seen are mono. You may need two. Is your sound capture set for stereo? Are the input level controls set correctly for equal volume on left or right channel? I would try the mic with a regular amplifier to insure both channels are working. Then trace the signal from mic to power supply and power supply to computer.

I can't tell from the add but hopefully it comes with adapters for both plugs that will work on your mixer. It does have the one for the headphones but the one for the mic is not clear, they are not interchangeable.

You would obviously plug the headphones into the headphone jack. The knob labeled "Phones/Control Room" will control the volume without changing what's being broadcast. What you hear in you phones is exactly what you are broadcasting.

The microphone needs to go into either mono channel 1 or 2. The adapter for it needs to be a mono Tip/Sleeve adapter as the more common stereo Tip/Ring/Sleeve adapter may cause some problems. You can tell the difference by looking at how many sections are on the plug divided by a little black line. Two sections is mono, three is stereo.

Adjust you microphone level by setting the volume knob, the one on the very bottom, to the 12 o'clock position. Then turn the gain knob, the smaller plastic one on the very top, until the desired volume is reached. If you experience any clipping or distortion turn the gain knob down until it goes away. These are general settings, you may want to experiment until you get the best level without noise.

2 tracks

press F4 to open device panel. there you must be able to select inputs and out puts fromyour alesis interface.
be in stereo or mono(check your alesis specifications to know how many mono and stereo inputs it has.
then when you create a new track on the right side of the sequencer window. you must see a input and uut put routing tab
so if you whant to record voice in one track select the inputs where your mic is plug
create a new track and select the other input
so for shure it will say alesis INPUT 1
alesis INPUT 2
alesis INPUT 3
and so on depending on how many inputs your devices haves.
you say it haves 2. but
are they 2 only in stereo
or two in mono
or one mono+one moni+one mono+mono
for a total of 4 inputs in mono mode and 2 in stereo mode.
i dont know witch device you have so i cant tell.
if you have any questions let me know

Alpine 3523 no instructions or wiring

I know this is a little late but I have one and the hookup is very easy, On the right side of the amp there is a six pin plug. Above it it says BATT REMOTE GND. The two pins below BATT are the battery (V+). The pin below REMOTE is the (V+) switched turn on. The two pins below GND are the ground. The rest is simple. Two RCA inputs. The switch to select MONO(R), STEREO, or MONO(L) works as explained. If you want stereo, put the switch in the middle and supply two inputs and two speakers. The MONO(R) and MONO(L) are to select a single input that will supply a single (bridged) output. Connect two speakers and they will supply the same source or connect one speaker to the outer speaker terminals for higher power output. The variable or fixed switch just bypasses the GAIN CONTROL knobs(used for Alpine's 8 pin DIN plug on unit, for older EQ's and head units.
