Problem for Emerson EWC19T3 19 in. TV/VCR/DVD Combo

the catv/cable button stopped working and I ended up having to put a wood wedge in the whole with the button to get the tv to change stations.or stop rolling. Over time it would start acting up again and I had to wiggle the wedge to get it to work. After awhile even wiggling it for some time failed to get it to work. Thanks so much for any help you can give me. Dodie

- I'll try ordering the key matrix. Is it hard to install?

You may need a key matrix which is essentially the plastic button set. There is also the possibility that you have a bad micro-switch or bad solder connection on one of the switches.
Be advised also that if you jam a button in it will probably disable all buttons until you release the jammed one
