Says "Wrong Disc" whever I out a DVD in.
Mine also sat that long and now battery won't charge well. Perhaps I can help you. After a variety of repeated attempts, I got mine to play discs with power supply hooked up. I varied the rotational position of the disc I was loading relative to that of the spline into which it clicks when I push it into place. I also changed the sequence in which each of the four latches on the spline-like thingie clicked into place by varying the angle of tilt (i.e. noon lowest, 1:30 lowest, two o'clock lowest, three lowest, on&on around clockwise toward 12:00 position being again lowest) until it started right and seemed to vibrate less.
Gradually, It got easier and easier to get it going, with each of the discs I was trying, instead of only with the one of them it likes best. now it plays all my discs but I think I feel and hear more vibration than before three or four months of storage. I suspect that balance was somehow compromised during storage that has now been partially restored. I have no idea, though, how to go about telling it to input a tv signal from the coaxial cable of my satellite dish or vcr, since I have lost the instruction manual. Perhaps you could help me. I brouse through all the menus I can find with the buttons on the surface of the player and don't see an input selection menu. The remote is also missing in storage, so I suspect that a button only found on the remote is required for the setting/selecting that I need. Could you look in your manual and advise me?
