Question about Dremel Table Saws

Open Question

Dremmel 1571 Scroll Saw

I just bought a Dremmel 1571 Scroll Saw used. It came with blades but they do not fit. What size does this saw take?
Also where can I find a manual for the saw?  Is there a website where I can find information?

SOURCE: looking for scroll saw manuel

Go to Searspartsdirect.com and type in your model number. I checked and also found that a lot of parts for this saw are discontinued so good luck.

SOURCE: How to change blade on 10" Craftsman table saw?

you need to grab the blade with something.maybe some pliers(if you are not going to refurbish blade) and loosen the nut in the center of the blade. i think it is a left hand thread(cw to loosen) because of the rotation of the blade. if the nut is on the left when looking from the front it is probably left handed. make sure it's unplugged and wear leather gloves so you don't get cut. install in reverse...

Use a carpenter square to allign the blade both vertically and horizontally with your guide. This works very well.

SOURCE: How do I change the blade on my Ryobi 10" table saw?

The manual is posted on line. Changing the blade does not require turning the saw over, blocks of wood or vice grips. The advice listed above is potentially damaging to your equipment.

SOURCE: My very old Craftsman 10"

Go to searspartsdirect.com and put in your model number. Look at the motor and wiring section. Look at item 16. The motor overload protector. (probably your reset button) WIth saw unplugged, unwire one sid of this switch and test with an ohm meter. You should read through the switch. If it is open then that's why the saw doesn't work. Many of this type of oveload requires quite a push to reset as you're flexing a klixon disc back to make contact. If is open and you can't reset, it's available there although a bit high priced.

The top is normally only spring loaded

Need manual sabre saw model 900.272510

That's a discontinued Craftsman model.
If you need replacement parts, you'll probably find that parts are difficult to find and way overpriced from Sears.
I'd check into used saber saws on CraigsList.

I needed a blade hub for a worm drive saw for a Craftsman saw and they wanted $46 and it would have to be ordered. (Its a flanged spacer that has the diamond shape that fits in the diamond knock-out in the blade.) The exact same part was used on several other brands including Milwaukee, Hitachi and Bosch. I bought a Bosch one from a local tool store for under $7.

How do I change a saw blade on a scroll saw

Which Scroll Saw are you using...there are multiple brands and multiple models. Help us out and tell us which one you have.

Most of the time there is a clamping mechanism that holds the top of the blade in place. Many models have a door or some access point to the lower end of the blade, too, which you'll have to get to as well.

You'll also usually find that there is some type of blade tension device that needs to be released and then reset before you can install and use a new blade. Make sure the new blade is the same length as the old one, also, make sure that it's the same type of blade, some have a small pin top and bottom, some do not.

Finally, check out YouTube and see if anyone has put up a video for your brand of Scroll Saw. May be the answer.

Good luck and be safe.

How do i fit reducing ring 16mm bore onto a30mm bore table saw blade, to use on a draper table saw

the reducer should fit right onto the shaft, if its the right size. Mic it to ensure. Then the blade should fit on no prob. I use a 30mm to 5/8" adapter on my own General 50-185 saw. Quality(sizing) of adapter is an issue.

Does the bolt turn R or L also does it take a special tool. I have had this saw for 28 years and my guys changed the blades I fear they lost the tool. Also will a 10" blde work it has a 71/4 now

The bolt on your saw blade turns right. Hold a block of wood against the blade so the bolt can turn. You can use a adjustable wrench if it will fit. Otherwise see if an open end wrench will fit. The 10" blade will only work if the saw was designed for a 10" blade and there is enough clearance.

The pot metal in front of thequick release tension lever has broken and fell out. can I still use the saw If not where do I go to get another one 1830 120v 18inch scroll saw dremel

I believe the part you are looking for is called a "locking rod" dremel part number 2610922661, this is the black painted pot metal that is about 3" long attached to the upper arm rocker with a parallel pin, and the flip clamp (blade tensioning assembly) or it could be the small piece attached to the tension assembly that the blade attaches to which is silver and called the "blade holder assembly-top" part number 2610922683. I would recommend ordering both directly from Dremel CS 1-800-437-3635. I broke the locking rod on mine. I emailed dremel, and they emailed me back the next morning with a schematic, and parts list. I bought 2 and paid $10.41 total.

I need to replace the blades on a Sears Scroll saw. Model # 149236160

Your scroll saw should have come with Hex end tools to use when changing out the blade. You must release the tension on the blade (located on top of arm above blade). There is a small allen head screw which has to be loosened with an allen wrench to release the blade. There is also an allen head screw under the working surface which will have to be loosened to remove blade at the bottom. Replace blade at the bottom 1st, tighten up then go to the top, tighten it, then reset the tension and you're ready to saw again. Make sure to get a visual on the directions of the blade teeth before you remove it so you can replace the new one the same way. I hope this is helpful.

Solution for "changing blades on a milwaukee miter saw

Have you removed the old blade yet?

The blade lock my be broken off -- it should be a button on top of the motor.

This saw has left hand threads -- turn clockwise to loosen the bolt/nut.

If you can't find the blade lock, lower the saw onto a piece of wood llike a 2x4 to keep the blade from turning.

Size of hole in 10inch blade for dewalt power workshop radial arm saw

Most 10" saw blades are bored to fit a 5/8" arbor.
Unless someone has changed the arbor on your saw, I'd say that's 99% sure to work.
Are you making your own blades, or accessorizing? In any event, start with 5/8" and see where that gets you.
If you find this helpful, please take the time to rate my post. Thanks!
