I am assuming that you error listed above is actually a "Machine Error 71" not a 17 as their is no such 17 error. The error 71 is a problem with the Polygon Mirror (laser scanner). The scanner is going to require replacement. The part is available at Seattle Platen, Dale 1-800-221-2388.
