What does the 2H mean? It seems to be the "standard" but the manual has no definition.

Great question!
2H means 2 hours -- 120 minutes ... the display only has 2 digits so it can not display 120 minutes. When the timer gets done near an hour an one half, it will start to display a countdown somewhere near 90 (minutes)
Yes, the cycles are long on the LG LDFxxxx dishwashers, just like all water and energy conserving dishwashers.
This really is a good dishwasher, recommend you keep the rinse aid dispenser filled up and ALWAYS use a brand name powder (like Electrosol or Cascade.) Also make sure when it was installed, it was properly leveled.
Hope this helps!

Bosch Dishwasher Model SHU5316UC-06 -- what does error code 2H mean?

2H is not exactly an "error code", but it does indicate a problem. It means that the machine exceded its wash time by more than 2 hours. This is usualy caused by a failure of the heater, most often caused by a failure of the controll. Remove the control from the door, remove the plastic housing from the control, and check for a bad solder joint on the heater relay.
If you find a bad solder joint, REPLACE the controll.
Or call a qualified service person.

NOTE: The SHU53A dish washer with serial numbers from FD8205 to FD8507 are included in a factory recall. If your dishwasher is one of these contact BSH @ 1-800-586-9226 24/7.

The 2H (not 2h) comes up and then runs for 99 minutes Shu5315

first off never ever run bleach in the dish washer bleach eats the rubber gasket seal; between the tank and the base causing it to leak in to the base of the d/w. if you get a 2H and the d/w continues to run and never stop toy have a bad heater that is easly figured out by putting an amp clamp on a meter and putting the d/w in delicate economy and checking the amp draw on your wire with out heater on the draw is usually 2 to 3 amps when heater comes on the draw will be 12 to 14 amps in delicate economy the machine drains for 15 sec fills with water after 1.4 gallons are in the machine the heater will kick on and heat up the incomming water to 150 degrees if you dont have the draw on the line it is usually the flow through heater.

Wash cycle not working showing 2hr and not draining or heating up

If you own an LG dishwasher, the "2H" means two hours = 120 minutes, which the 2 digit display can not. If it is an LG and does not start when you fully close the door, you ~probably~have a failed or mis-adjusted door "latch" sensor. The LG does not actually have a door latch, but it senses when it is closed, so it can safely begin to wash.

Please check this out and post back here with your progress. OK?

2H accures in digital read out. NO Cycles start, just a humming

Do you own an LG LDF6810ST dishwasher? If not, please reply with the manufacturer name, model and serial number.
Are you saying that the display that normally shows the time is displaying an code of 2H? On an LG, that means 2 Hours, (120 minutes) and is not an error code.
On an LG with a symptom like this, I would arrage to replace the main processor card (PCB). You would be getting an error message if the motor (wash or drain) had failed.

Can not reset the ''delay cycle'' timer

I would call that service company back and ask for your money back first of all if he didn't fix the problem. That code probably means a failed circuit board.

Error code 2H

The control panel needs to be replaced (indicated by the "2H" error code displayed at the start of the cycle).
BTW - The number 1 displayed at the end of the cycle indicates the cycle has timed out (i.e., it doesn't mean 1 minute remaining). Hence the continued running of the unit. Until you replace the control panel, you'll have to manually cancel the cycle at this point.

Stuck on 2H

My wife got our Bosch diswasher "unstuck" from the 2H position by pressing buttons randomly. Sorry this sounds so serendipitous! Good luck!

Sounds like water....dx doesnt work

2H means the machine is taking longer than 99 minutes to run a cycle. Start the cycle and wait 5 minutes, then open the door. If water doesn't look like it is spraying out the wash arms or slowly coming out the wash arms, then check to make sure the filter at the bottom is clean. If clean, then sounds like your circulation pump isn't running or impeller has came apart.

Prolonged washer cycle time

Hi! I'm not familiar with this model, but it sounds to me like there is not a problem! If you set the delay time to 0H, switch off the unit at the main switch, then switch back on. If there is still a 2H displayed, it means that the PROGRAM that you have selected will take 2hours! This is fairly common for the Bosch units on the 50 - 65degC cycles...some models have a "reduced washing time" button - it looks similar to the "delay" symbol, but once pressed, it reduces the washing time by almost half (cuts on rinse cycles) If your model does not have a reduced time button, select a shorter cycle (35/40/50eco), and see if the time is less. Remember that the latest dishwashers are engineered to be more energy efficient and water wise, so they had to lengthen the wash cycles in order to get good wash results! Hope this helps! C.
