Question about Sony PlayStation® 3 (80GB) Console
It powers up, disc drive works, Hd works, fan sounds stronger at first then kicks down could be normal due to not doing much of anything, When you try the reset it powers on beeps once then powers off, no blinking lights, also the usb ports dont seem to get power, could this just be a power supply issue or ???
Ok let me try to help you My name is Juanand this happen a lot on the 80Gb units if you try the reset remove your finger before it powers off lets begin ok with the switch off place your finger on the on switch turn the main power switch on and keep your finger ther until it beeps once and then remove your finger before it shuft off try this couple of times but it could be your graphics card so once you have it running again if it freezes or shows a blurry graphics on tv after few minutes then is your graphics card and sorry but they can't be replaced

power supply is very easy to replace. if you plan on working on unit you will void all warranty cuz you remove the sticker to get into it. 90 percent sure its the powersupply.
