Just install it. If it causes any problems you can always revert to an earlier driver though your device manager

If you are downgrading a driver you could probably just install, in which case you will likely get prompts saying you have newer files already.

A better way to do this would be to extract all the driver files into a folder, then go to the device manager and find the sound device, open its properties and click update driver, you will want to choose the driver and click have disc, then navigate to the folder where you put the older drivers.

I missed sound driver of ibm system 945board intel windows7

IBM use "sound blaster" sound drivers. For window 7 it is preinstalled, in case of any problem you may download the new version of drivers for window 7 from the IBM official site.

No sound audio driver installed anymore?

If you can't find the audio for that board, purchase an inexpensive sound card (used-$5) and it is easier than pulling your hair out.
If you provide more information on the particular board # and nomenclature it may be possible to find the exact drivers you require. Like I said, found an old sound blaster...
Hope this does the trick for you, good luck,
please leave a rating, thank you kindly

No sound and voice recording device;not able to get the right sound driver

  • NO SOUND,NO AUDIO
  • check the system - device manager for sound and audio adapter, checks for any markings on the device red x, yellow ? , or ! checks for any sound blaster if not detected (removed it and install back)
  • uninstall and re-install the sound and audio device driver, or
  • install the sound drivers
  • use a headset or external speaker if it works the internal speaker needs replacement

Sound Blaster Livecrackles

This again usually happens to PCs using a VIA chipset, particularly the ones that has a 686B southbridge (KT133(A), Apollo Pro 133A/Z/T chipsets). A major symptom is that the speaker will crackle with static with or without music. Another symptom is that media files like MP3 will skip. Also, in some cases this problem will cause major file corruptions in the hard disk. There are many theories on this problem (do a Google search for that) Initally, some of the motherboard companies have a workaround with a BIOS fix. However, in order for the following to work you have to update to the latest BIOS version as the previous BIOS fixes may conflict with the proper fixes.
One solution is to update the VIA Hyperion driver to the latest version. This helps in some cases but in some cases does not solve anything.
Another solution is to use George Breese's unofficial PCI latency patch The stable version is 0.19d but does not support the latest chipsets.
A third solution is to manually adjust the PCI latency value (if available) from 32 to either 0 or to 64. I don't recommend this unless you know what you are doing.
In 2003, Creative finally releaased updated drivers for SB Live! and Audigy. The new drivers should solve the above problem for most people.

My audio driver got deleted, how do i get a nother one?

Most sound card manufacturers (such as Creative for Sound Blaster cards) have current drivers available on their website. You just need to know the manufacturer and model of your sound card (usually can find this in Control Panel, then Sounds and Audio Devices).

Soundblaster Live! with Unintall Program with Cd inserted Error Number: 0x80040201 Description: An event was unable to invoke any of the subscribers. Setup will now terminate.

Maybe when you installed it the driver or the program of sound blaster is not finished or have an error. That's why you cannot uninstall it property. goto control panel add and remove software try uninstall the sounblaster. If still not remove completely try this, Click start, run and type msconfig in the startup and service look for sounblaster and uncheck all then try gain to uninstall . If still not working try to delete manually the directory of soublaster and also in the registry. Type regedit in run commmand and click edit, find and find what type soundblaster and click find next. If they found press delete and press F3 to find next directory or files until the search is finished. But be careful to delete only the soundblaster files and directory because if you delete some other files in registry is cause another problem in your systems.
