Re: Head set icon on constantly...

Check the bottom of your phone. There is a connector down there, is there any greenish stuff (oxidation) on it ? If so, the connector has been exposed to water. Clean the connector as well as possible, it might have short-circuited the pins and the phone thinks it has the headset plugged in. You might have to take the phone completely apart and clean it from the inside. If theres no greenish stuff on/in the connector, you probably have to visit your local Service-Center for repairs.

I have an older Ericsson that constantly thinks it has a headset plugged in when it does not. this means i cant mak or receive calls and im not notified when i get a text. any help

If you have a headset, plug it in and wait 1 minute, turn off the phone, turn it back on, and remove the headset. The icon should go away.

If you do not have a headset, go into an AT&T store and they can do this there.

Hi lukky

You need the headset to priovide an aerial(in the headset cable) to the 88-108 mhz FM receiver in the phone. The required legth for that is about 90cm. So, unfortunatly, you have to have the headset for the antenna. Without it, the phone just cannot pickup the signal, and hence will not allow FM to be selected until you connect the headset. Sorry mate,.:)
