Dont know what you mean by coupling!!, usually the agitator comes loose on these machines inside the drum, to secure this, remove the softener cap in the centre of the drum by pulling, look inside and secure the bolt deep inside, you will need a socket and long extension 15mm I think.

Freelander 2 central locking not working on one back door

If it works on the rest, it has to be a loose wire or a failed activator. Remove the trim panel (a couple of screws and prise-out studs) and check for a loose or broken wire before ordering new activator.

How do i remove the fan and pulley on a 1987 ford ranger 2.9 v-6?

The question is: How remove clutch in order to remove fan mounted on its engine-side face.
  • Generally, the clutch drive half shaft must be uncoupled from coolant pump (impeller drive) half shaft using special wrench kit available as loaner from AutoZone (free with $79 approx deposit).
  • Best done after shroud & radiator remove after coolant drained.
  1. Uncouple coolant pump and fan clutch drive shaft(s) as follows:
    1. span across combo-pulley-sheaves-unit mounting bolt heads with large tool kit wrench, and
    2. span inline clutch coupling nut with small tool kit wrench. Then,
    3. turn small wrench (and coupling nut) CW while resisting with large wrench (CCW) to turn coupling nut until disengaged from coolant pump drive shaft.
  2. Remove fan/clutch assembly.
  3. Note direction of mounted fan hub and fan blades orientation to ensure proper re-assembly.
  4. On rear of clutch assy, remove 4 bolts to disengage and remove fan.
  5. Assemble new fan to clutch (or, preferably, new clutch and new fan) using new bolts and washers provided with fan.
  6. Couple fan-clutch assy to coolant pump drive shaft as per opposite of uncoupling step 1, above. (Turn inline nut CCW to tighten...30 ft-lb.
  7. Check that fan can be hand turned...CW.)
  8. Rest shroud over and onto fan.
  9. Replace radiator; remount shroud; reclamp hoses, and refill and air purge cooling system.

2003 flstf starter installation

I assume that you want information on how to replace the starter on a Fat Boy. First, disconnect and remove the battery. Then drain the oil from the primary and remove the outer primary cover. Take the small bolt out of the starter jackshaft and remove the jackshaft. Then go to the right side of the bike and remove part or all of the exhaust system as necessary to gain access to the starter. Take the bolts and mounting hardware loose from the oil tank so that you can lift the tank slightly. You should not have to remove the oil lines. Take the battery cable loose from the starter and unplug the single wire at the solenoid part of the starter. Remove the two large socket head bolts that hold the starter on. When the starter comes off, there is a coupling that connects the starter with the jackshaft. Mark the direction it goes back in or make sure the counterbored end of the coupling goes towards the jackshaft. Reinstall the starter in reverse of these procedures.

Good Luck
Steve

How do you remove a 1987 Ford Econoline ignition switch assembly

1982-88 Models Fig. 4: Align the flexible coupling to specifications (shown)--1982-88 models 89788g36.gif
Fig. 5: Exploded view of the steering column--1982-88 models 89788g41.gif
  1. Set the parking brake.
  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  3. Disconnect the flexible coupling from the steering shaft flange.
  4. Disconnect the shift linkage rod(s) from the column.
  5. Remove the steering wheel. NOTE: If you have a tilt column, the steering wheel MUST be in the full UP position when it is removed.
  6. Remove the floor cover screws at the base of the column.
  7. Remove the steering column shroud by loosening the bottom screw and placing the shift lever in the No.1 position (on automatics) and pulling the shroud up and away from the column.
  8. Remove the instrument cluster column opening cover.
  9. Remove the 2 bolts securing the column support bracket to the pedal support bracket.
  10. Disconnect the turn signal/hazard warning harness and the ignition switch harness.
  11. Lift the column from the truck. To install:
  12. Position the column in the van.
  13. Connect the wiring.
  14. Insert the column through the floor so that the flange engages the flexible coupling, then, raise the column and loosely install the bracket bolts.
  15. Loosely install the flexible coupling nuts and floor plate screws.
  16. Install the steering wheel.
  17. Adjust the steering column as follows:
    1. Tighten the flexible coupling nuts to 35 ft. lbs. (47 Nm).
    2. Place the wheels in the straight-ahead position.
    3. Verify the safety pin-to-flange cut-out clearance of 0.160 in. with a feeler gauge.
    4. If necessary, loosen the flange nuts to adjust the clearance, then retighten the nuts when clearance is established.
    5. Tighten the column support bracket bolts to 20 ft. lbs. (27 Nm).
    6. Tighten the cover plate screws to 10 ft. lbs. (13.6 Nm).
    7. Tighten the lower clamp bolt to 10 ft. lbs. (13.6 Nm).

Agitator issues

The agitator coupling beneath the agitator needs replacing. It is stripped.
Pull hard on the agitator to pull it off the shaft to expose the coupling. Remove the coupling and replace it with a new one. Replace the agitator.
If the agitator is hard to remove, use a old leather belt under the agitator to pull up on.
Watch your nose when it comes loose.

Ingersoll Rand SSR-EP75 owners manual, I need to remove the cooling fan and replace it , its on a marathon electric fan motor e206, motor is good but the plastic blades around it are busted, I need info on...

The pulley is held on by a compression type of coupling. Loosen all the screws in the coupling. Remove two screws and they should thread into two or more threaded holes in the coupling. These are holes that should be 180 degrees apart....they will be the only holes threaded. If all the other bolts in the circumference are loose you should be able to thread these two bolts into the coupling and the bolts actually "jack" the coupling apart. The coupling and fan should easily come off the front of the motor. The motor should be held on by 4 screws to the motor tower in front of your air/oil cooler.

Replace coupler on kenmore top loader would like diagram

Go to searspartsdirect.com. You will have to put in the model number to do a search. The search will produce an exploded view along with the parts list and prices. If you're wanting to replace the coupling; the easiest approach is to lay the washer face down. Remove the motor mounts and replace the coupling. The couplings are plastic and fit tightly to both shafts. Pry coupling loose from motor and washer with a screwdriver. Install one of the coupling halves on each shaft. Sit the rubber center section on to the motor half of the coupling and install motor and motor mounts.

Can't get drive coupling off bosch unversal blender blade fixture

what you need to do is hold the blades with a towel to protect your hand, then, use a visegrips needle nose to grab the coupling (pushing the guard down) and twist it loose. It may be very tight, when I loosened mine, the plastic portion of the coupling pulled off leaving the metal "nut" tight to the shaft. Either way, remove the coupling/nut in the standard "lefty loosey" direction. Many thanks to the people at pleasanthillgrain.com for walking me through the process. Blessings to you.

Replacing Icemaker Motor

this is an easy diy job.
  • remove ice bucket
  • remove 4 screws holding motor housing in place
  • loosen and remove motor coupling ( this is the hardest part of the job) the coupling is a left hand thread so removing is opposite  of what your accustomed to. Its right loosey instead of lefty loosey. to break the coupling loose it is easier to hit the edge of it with a hammer to break it loose from the threads and then it will or should spin off by hand.
  • remove the 3 or 4 screws securing the motor
  • change wires from old motor to new motor one at a time to keep from wiring it wrong
  • reassemble in reverse order
  • the coupling when reinstalled is self tightening so just spin it on hand tight and it will tighen the rest of the way on its own.
if I can be of further assistance please ask thanks Peyton
