Printer was working fine, until it all of the sudden when we went to use it, the printer shakes and makes noises like it's trying to do something, but it's not right. It won't do anything else except having the error code come up on the screen.

Re: Error Code 2200 on Dell All In One Printer 942
This error code indicates a jam, try a power cycle: Power off the All-In-One (AIO) and remove the power supply from the
back of the unit. Wait 30 seconds. Then reinsert the power supply and
power the AIO on.
If this does not work, there is some more information here: http://en.community.dell.com/forums/t/19244466.aspx

I think I have fixed this. The waste toner container was fairly full. This problem was initially intermittent and then persistent. Opening the printer cover and closing it was enough to shake the toner clear of the sensor until it became so full that shaking it made no difference. There was nothing to differentiate this problem from a paper jam so it was just luck that I checked the waste container. A quick short term fix was to tilt and tap the container to clear the sensor window, but the risk is that the container will overflow. Samsung tell you to replace the container (for about $AUD25) but it can just be emptied. I used a vacuum cleaner to **** out most of the toner and then washed out the rest with soapy water. I rinsed it with a solution of about 20% alcohol and then left it to dry over night. No problems since.
Yes, this would cause it to not work - try taking out your toner cartridge, shake it lightly a couple of times, and then put it back in. This should work for a short while, until you get a new cartridge
Turn the printer upside down and see if anything falls out. Look inside as well. Maybe something is askew in there. Go the the manufacturer's website to their Support section. Email them or do a live chat. I just typed "hardware eror 502" and found a lot of answers. You might even type the manufacturer's name with just "hardware error".
the printer gears assembly is brokem or gor cracked so it is giving this message that ---cannot complrte print task---
just get that assembly replaced to make it proper.
it will cost u near $20 for the assembly.
I have been using the Canon MP180 PIXMA for almost three years now without a hitch until I received a paper jam warning which I could not resolve. I Googled "Canon PIXMA paper jam" today and landed on this site. I turned the printer upside-down and shook vigorously. Out popped a small pebble-like bit of concrete which somehow found it's way into my printer. I guess our hardwood floor installation on the floor above had shaken up some old plaster and concrete bits that had lodged in our drop-down ceiling from our 3rd floor bathroom renovation last year and this little ****** came through an opening in our rec-room (where the computer and printer are) drop-down ceiling. A very strange sequence of events, that I would not have suspected, but happy to say that your advice here did the trick and the printer is a tough and trustworthy little printer afterall!
