Lexmark c530dn red light on

Lexmark c530dn
When I turn the printer on, the green light comes on then flashes, then it makes a noise and the red light comes on. It then beeps a couple of times, and the red light stays on. There is no menu available and pressing any of the menu or stop buttons only results in beeping.
Anyone know what's wrong, here? Is it dead?

similar to above. when printer powers on, the green light illuminates briefly, then flashes several times, then the red light comes on and the printer beeps loudly 3 times. nothing ever comes up in the display panel. pressing buttons does nothing... the Check button causes the printer to beep loudly 3 times, other buttons cause a small triple beep....

Any suggestions on how to go about further diagnosing the problem or fixing it?

The little red light is on CONSTANTLY after the aforementioned beeping and flashing unless the power is turned off.

Operator panel display blank, five beeps, and LED off
Service tip: The printer has detected a problem with the system card, the operator panel assembly cable (part of
the top cover access assembly), or the operator panel assembly if POST does not complete. The printer emits
five beeps, and sticks in a continuous pattern until the printer is turned off.
Is this what you are getting?

FROM THE MANUAL I HAVE IT ONLY TALKS OF 5 BEEPS, then
Check for ground between JOPP1 pin 4 and ground. If correct,
replace the operator panel assembly. Go to “Operator panel
assembly removal” on page 4-22. If incorrect, check the operator
panel assembly cable. If the cable is damaged, replace the top cover
access assembly. Go to “Top access cover assembly removal” on
page 4-23. If the cable is okay, replace the system card. Go to
“System card removal” on page 4-47.

There is a faded blue strip on the left side of every printed page from the lexmark C530dn laser printer. I do I clean it to remove this line?

Any marks on the paper come from the drum, this could be a circumferential scratch on the drum or a void in the wiper that clears the excess toner. Whatever, you need to check the drum and possibly need to replace it.

Hello. Hope you got working already. But if you're still having the problem, unplug the power supply (the small black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached) with the other end still plugged in to a known working power outlet. Look around the black box, it should have a green LED on around the silver contacts. If not, properly secure the power cord by unplugging and plugging it back in. Otherwise, you got a defective power supply. Try not to use extensions or power strips, plug printer straight to the wall power outlet or plug it to a different known working power outlet. If the power supply is working fine, plug it back in the printer in a correct position. Properly insert it and make sure it pushed all the way in the printer. If you're still getting all blinking lights once plugged in, your printer might be damaged by the the lightning strike. If that's the case, you can call Lexmark and ask for assistance with that. Well, these are the troubleshooting steps you can do to determine where the problem is. Good luck!

The Lexmark c530dn prints fine. Smudging down both sides.

Hello,

Your problem is caused by 2 worn photoconductor units. If you open the front door like you are changing toner, the photoconductor units will be mounted to the door that swings down. You will see should see four units one for each color, red, blue, yellow and black. If you look at the red and black units the ends will look different than the blue and yellow. The photo units have teflon coating that wears off and causes your proble. The replacement part number is C53030x and you will need 2 of them. Just replace the red and black ones and your printer will be back to normal. If you can't locate them locally, let me know and we can ship them to you.

Epson C66 red light stays on for ink

The first time you install ink cartridges, the printer must charge its print head for about 90 seconds. Wait until charging finishes (the green power.jpg power light stops flashing) before you turn off the printer, or

it may charge improperly and use excess ink the next time you turn it on. If the printer stops moving or making noise, but the green power.jpg power light is still flashing after 5 minutes, turn off the printer. If the light is still flashing when you turn it back on, contact Epson.
Turn off the printer, then make sure the ink cartridges are inserted completely and the ink cartridge cover is closed completely. Also make sure no packing material remains in the printer. Wait a moment, then turn the printer back on to clear the error.

Light keeps flashing red,amber, green

If you turn off the printer and turn it back on, do you get any noises, ie motor noises, or does it instantly go to all lights flashing?
If you get no noises this usually indicates a board fault and you should look for a new printer.
