About two minutes after the TV is turned on, it starts making a whirring noise. The longer the TV is on, the louder the whirring noise gets. Please help...the noise is making me crazy!
The noise you hear must be from its back-light inverter board. The ferrite core in the inverter transformer may make a high whistling noise and will be annoying. Contact any technician. It can be stopped by gluing. But is a skilled work.

A common cause are failure of decopling capacitors in the audio section, and or the circuit board power distribution that feeds the audio board. Most of the capacitors are surface mount components. The standard fix is to start by changing the circuit boards that have the defective parts.
If the set is under warranty, call for warranty service. Out of warranty service is expensive for these TV sets.

The TV should be under warranty. Send back. Sounds like the panel is faulty (half the value of the set).
SOURCE: The tv takes 25 minutes to turn on.
i would look at the power supply as it sounds like the caps in it are getting weak
