SOURCE: whirlpool washer timer

Yep the Dutchman was right, if you did the replacement with power off and did not touch anything else check the connection, remove panel and mount it back, it is the most obvious.

My Kenmore 11020022012 washer stops prior to spinning cycle. If I manually turn the dial to spin, it will spin fine. Need help troubleshooting..

timer needs new electric motor to advance from rinse to spin cycle.
or alternately ,you can have your old timer taken out of your washer and sent out to be rebuilt or buy a new timer.
in any case , you will need a kenmore washing machine repairman to take out your old timer and send it away to be rebuilt and expect that to take 2 or 3 weeks
the timer rebuild used to cost$ 50.00 in 1993 and a new timer went for $110.00 to $129.00
for a sevice man to take out and reinstall a timer $60.00 to 100.00 labor
try to google.com or bing.com or ask.com-----and type in : kenmore washing machine, rebuilt timer. you will need the model number of the washer as well as the model number of the timer and the timer may have a different name that kenmore
also try typing in kenmore washer, new replacement timer
try call sears and see how much their service man wants to put in a new timer. I am sure prices have gone up since 1993
when I retired from the major appliance repair busness. i could do the timer remove & install, but I probably live 1000 miles from you.
another option: knowing that you will need to spend around $200.00 or more by the time you get a new timer installed
you might want to see how much lowes or home depot wants for their cheapest bottom of the line washer. that might be a good alternative as it allows you to get a new washer and buy an extended warantee so you dont get stuck with another 200.00 repair. I think they have washers starting at 289.95 only 90.00 morte that repairing your old washer which is going to run for how many more years before it again gives you trouble?
check out lowest prices on bottom of the line washers unelse you want to spend a lot on a fancy washer to make yourself happy.
you can shop on line by just google.com or bing.com and the name of the store. home depot, lowes, sears, walmart
and type in clothes washers.

Have a maytag washer, LAT9706AAE, New motor, timer, belts. pump spins free. Will not wash, trips thermal. Transmission??? thanks.

well if its tripping the trip every time you turn it on there is a leak down to earth in the washer some were it only takes 30 - 50 mill amps to throw the trip out,, thats only just under the power that could kill you?
but dont go putting to the test?? i would have a realy close look at all the motors first if one has a leak to earth you found the fault,,,
you know,,all them new bits you just put in ...it would have been cheaper to just buy a new washer by now? and you still have an old case to change yet!!!!
i think its a war now? and you intend to win it at any cost?

Washer will wash but wont change to next cycle it turns off

Most likely a bad timer. Not to difficult for homeowner to replace... Be sure to replace wires on new timer EXACTLY as they came off of old timer. Best to leave wires connected to old timer and move one at a time.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Replace clock timer

ok bobo lets go....always unplug unit first...pull the range from the wall,,,best if you get behind it if you can,,,now you those 8 phillips head screws around the top back of console..remove that bact console panel...now there 4 screws holding the clock in remove screws but not the wires..let the old board just hang from wires,,your close now ...put new board in there did you get the overlay with the new board ,,no..so take that flim strip overlay of the old one,,ok mount the new clock put back for screws,,,take the old clock timer connection off one by one and put on new clock ,,...you did it,,,just reverse to put together,,,

KENMORE ELITE WASHER #110.26964503

Peace Friend,
ngafm At your service!

one way to find and to repair this is,

First unplug the washer and wait a few minutes then restart it like rebooting your computer when its acting strange!
If it corrects the problem GREAT!!! WE WIN!

To do the timer get an authorized tech!
You may spend money on the timer and be wrong!!!!!

If not only a trained laundry tech can make the electronic diagnoses.
Like we used to be able to fix my own cars, but not today they need diagnostic equipment!

How old is the washer?

If the appliance is 10 years old or more you it may not be advisable to put good money into bad!
New appliances are so much more efficient today that they can save you a lot of money in energy!!!!
Water,Electric and detergent! And put money back in your pocket!
The new appliance will pay for itself in only a few years!

You will be fine
Bless You ngafm

Maytag washer lse7804a won't fill

with the timer in the wash position on any cycle do you have 120 volts on the selenoids that the water hoses are connected to with the temp selector set for warm wash and timer knob pulled out? if you do then the water inlet valve is the issue, if no voltage you could have gotten a defective timer

RRemoving the washer starter dial

Yes, stop pulling on it. Axcess the rear of the timer there will be a smaller hole with a black piece of plastic inside where the knob shaft would be if it went all the way through. use needle nose pliers to grab the plastic piece and pull out. it is easier if the knob is pushed in is gets recessed a little more when you pull out the knob. The new timer comes with a new plastic piec pull it out then push back in to lock on the knob again.
