How to extend battery time for i phone?

Ensure any unneeded apps are stopped and not running in the background. Some apps such as facebook / twitter / etc may need to be completely uninstalled or logged out to keep them from running.
Turn down the screen brightness, Generally turning the screens brightness down till it can still be easily seen but not overly bright can increase cell phone battery by up to 20%
Shut off wifi / bluetooth / gps when not required. Disable Wifi / bluetooth, and GPS will also increase your phones battery time.

Ensure a full charge, most devices (iphones included) usually require a minimum of 8 solid hours to charge, even when they say full, they are not actually "FULL". Make sure your device gets at least 8 hours of charge time before use, and don't allow the battery to drain all the way before the next charge.

My I phone 4 will not shut down

Try resetting your phone back to factory defaults. Make sure you first back up everything in iTunes and backup to your iCloud account before you reset your phone. You may need to put the phone in DMF mode (see multiple posts on internet for instructions on how to do this). If restoring your phone doesn't work, you may need to have your battery and home button flex cable replaced.

My phone wants to shut off at any given time

Has the phone been jailbroken? If not, which version of the OS does it run? It might be a hardware problem, maybe the battery, but hardware problems are pretty hard to troublesolve without the phone in hand and proper tools. If it's a software problem there might be a fix. Have you tried restoring it? Beware before doing so though, everything on the phone will be erased. So backup everything before you attempt this, you can backup with iCloud on the phone itself, just turn it on and connect the phone and open iTunes "Settings->iCloud->Storage&Backup" Remember to activate Wifi for iCloud to work.
Restoring iPhone to it's factory settings: Install itunes->Connect iPhone->Select your phone when it appears in iTunes->Click the summary tab->Click the "restore" button->After the restore the iPhone should restart.

Does the new iPhone 5 scratch and scrap easily?

I personally bought a brand new iPhone 5 and I can tell you that in comparison to iPhone 4/4s, the iPhone 5 cannot withstand keys or rings. It scratches very easily and without a proper protective case it can get easily ruined.

Iphone 3g proper charging

Once you purchase the iphone, dont use it yet.Instead of using it right away, kindly charge your IPhone with the wall charger for 3 hrs. Please dont use the Iphone while charging.Kindly check always if the battery is full.Once its fully charged then that's the time that you can use the iPhone. Once fully charged, let the iPhone's battery fully drain. Please keep the iPhone off for 2 hours.Fully charge your iPhone and allow the battery to rest in the fully charged state for two hours. (You may use your iPhone during this time as long as the iPhone is plugged in).Repeat the third and fourth step a maximum of three times if you feel your battery indicator is inaccurate.

Here are some tips for your everyday charging for your IPhone:
#1 - Charge your iPhone throughout the day when available. Charge EVERY night, regardless of charge level. This will keep your battery active, which is healthy for the iPhone's battery.
#2 - Use a wall charger or car charger w/ rated output 5V 1A. Computer chargers might not charge when the computer is in standby mode.
#3 - You cannot overcharge your iPhone. You don't need to disconnect the iPhone from the charger after it's done charging. Once fully charged, the iPhone will run strictly off of AC power and will not damage the battery.
#4 - Every two months, make sure you fully charge and fully drain the battery, in one cycle. This calibrates your battery indicator. If you fail to do this, your indicator will become inaccurate. Calibrating your battery does not improve battery life.
#5 - If you ever need to store your iPhone for any reason, make sure your battery is stored @ roughly 50% and in a cool environment.
#6 - Always charge your iPhone out of its case (assuming you can easily remove the case). Charging your iPhone inside your case will make the iPhone hotter, which is bad for the battery.
#7 - Charge your iPhone in a cool location. Charging your iPhone in a cool environment has a tremendous impact on your battery's lifespan. The colder the location you use to charge, the more charging cycles you can complete without your battery deteriorating. Avoid charging in direct sunlight.
#8 - Use properly rated chargers. Using chargers that are not properly rated will have a huge impact on your battery's lifespan. Make sure your car charger has the same rating as the official Apple charger.
The official Apple wall charger is rated as follows:
Input: 100 240V ~ 50/60 Hz 1.0A
Output: 5V 1A
Thanks!

Same exact problem- music player works fine with headphones

If you had a bluetooth device connected and it did not disconnect properly then the phone may be trying to play the sounds to the bluetooth and not the speaker, Turn the phone's bluetooth off and then on and it should work. Also, if you look at a sound file or video file it will show the bluetooth symbol next to it, which means that it is playing to bluetooth and not the phones other outputs.
