SOURCE: I have Emachine 2002 model W4682 problem with all

You should have gotton a cd with the orginal drivers with you machine. They may also be hidden on you machine.

Remember that the maker of your machine is gateway. I suggest calling them if you have no luck with the emachine division. The company called Acer is the parent company of all of them. That should help. Emachine is not the bst cmpany outthere when it comes to customer service. What is not working correct on your machne??

SOURCE: I AM TROUBLESHOOTING AN EMACHINE MODEL W3410 AMD

Almost always indicative of a RAM memory problem. Troubleshoot by removing 1 stick of memory and rebooting. Switch sticks to determine if either stick of memory is bad or a bad bank on the motherboard.

A virus check might not get all malware. Download Malwarebytes free and do a scan with that. Check the add-ons installed in you browsers and get rid of superfluous or strange ones. Use msconfig to check which programs are loaded at start up. Uncheck unnecessary or suspicious ones. Good luck.

In that case unfortunately, you are probably going to have to get a Windows DVD. Set the laptop to boot off DVD, and reformat and do a complete reinstall.
