Question about LG LMU240CE/LMN120CE Air Conditioner
One of my two indoor units has stopped working. The green power indication light flashes six times before pausing and repeating. Does anybody know what error code this is?

I would first check the condensate drain pipe. This can be done by blowing back into the drainpipe from outside. Not to worry it is not dirty or dangerous. Also make sure that your air filters are clean.

The LED #2 is only flashing while in disconnection or short in Thermistor (3 sec off / 0.5 sec on). If you want to change it, note: this is not an easy job to do! You will need to remove the top panel, then remove the control paneland then the front panel to gain access to the thermistor. The part isnot available to the public and requires an authorized service techfrom LG to take care of this problem. You will need a special tool toremove the front door seal spring clamp.
But you can call customer service @ 800 243 000 and see if theycan transfer you over to parts. Just give them the model and serial #and see if they would be willing to sell you the thermistor part. Youwill also need the door seal spring clamp removal tool to make the jobeasier.

Inverter compressor run current high. Check compressor windings all equal 1 to 4 Ohms, Check to earth 50 MOhm minimum, check run current. If it's high, or windings open circuit, replace compressor.

SOURCE: I have a problem with
3 blinks - return air sensor , the sensor that measures the temperature of the air going in the internal unit is reporting an excessive temperature or nothing at all.
8 blinks - fan failure
No, you can't repair it yourself, the control board, sensor and fan will have to be checked and most likely the fan motor replaced.
