Your unit is wireless so the most likely is the USB Wifi receiver has lost connection. Unplug the USB receiver and plug it into a different USB port.
It is possible the unit battery has run down. Replace it with a fresh battery.
If your unit also has a wireless mouse with it and the mouse is still working, you may just have a faulty keyboard. It happens.
theres a button on the usb adapter and mouse its clearly visable on the usb, but its right under the microsoft label on the bottom of the mouse and u will have 2 use a paperclip 2 press it....press the one on the adapter 1st then the one on the mouse....if that doesnt work go to the control panel and look under hardware for mouse and reinstall the driver
my mouse get lost on regularly. First press button on receiver (device plugged inot USB port) the blue led should flash slowly looking for devices. next press connect button on the bottom of mouse. it should connect and start working. If not, unplug receiver, re-plug and try again.
Sadly, you'll have to replace it. You might be able to buy another of the EXACT same model, but then your problem still remains. The reason is they are bonded with a specific wavelength and transmission protocol to that specific mouse so there isn't any interference.
see the very first thing is that what u can try is that try and connect the same mouse that u had and that had worked and if works then the prob is with the mouse that u have right now and if that also doesnt work then the usb port on the laptop has gone bad and u need to replace the motherboard of the computer but before replacing the motherboard try and connect some other usb device on the same usb port.........
